Woohoo! Back when we signed up for Verizon FiOS, part of the "packet" was a free RCA Small Wonder Digital Camcorder if we kept the service. Well, we kept it!

I was getting anxious because I really wanted to get it and try to do a tutorial. I was actually thinking earlier today how I needed to check the status, and what showed up?! The camcorder!

Woohoo! So, I'm going to *try* to get in a tutorial tonight. I've been asked to do one on applying MMU, and then I said I'd do one about red lippies. Believe it or not, I've done both, but hated the end result of my webcam.

So, look forward to a tutorial or two coming your way from yours truly! I'm too excited! Seems like a decent bugger so far too!

I was talking to the VP of Operations at the hospital I work at (she was the Exec. VP at the other hospital before we merged with this one).

Anywho! I told her I decided to go back this Fall for my Masters degree, and she recommended instead that I look into the School of Nursing program we have. She said there's more opportunity for me, and that I can make a lot more.

So, I checked into it, and she's right. It's a HUGE difference! I can either work as a Nurse, Nurse Manager, in Nursing Administration, etc. There's a HUGE market, and with my Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management, I'd be highly marketable. And when I say huge difference in pay, I mean upwards of $30k+!

I'm meeting tomorrow with the Director of the School of Nursing. We're going to go over my transcript to see what credits would transfer and get me past that, as well as the application and whatnot.

I think it's a smart choice, because I can always go for my Masters later too. Not to mention, we do get tuition reimbursement from the hospital, and that would almost cover the entire cost. So, I probably wouldn't have that much out of pocket and could eliminate more student loans.

Anywho! Thought I'd share that tid bit of my life with you LOL!

It looks like I'll be the new Member at Large for Healthcare Management for the Business Association for my alumni! How awesome is that?! Here's the position description:Unfortunately, because I am alumni, I can't be Chair. That's a-okay! I'm just glad I stuck with the Association, and now I can be an officer! Woohoo!

Or, I should say extra gifts! I knew we were having Secret Santa, so that was all I expected. My gift was gorgeous too! I still don't know who it was! But whoever it was got me a crystal ferris wheel by Shannon for Godinger. I left it at work (my first office decoration even!) so whoever got it for me knows I appreciate it! Here's a pic of what it looks like:


But, what I didn't expect was my boss and other co-workers to get me gifts! My boss got me a $25 GC to simplycertificates.com, which allows me to use it in various places from restaurants to stores to salons; and my other boss gave me milk chocolate & white chocolate covered pretzels. Someone else got me a box of Russell Stover chocolates; the other lady in our department gave me a bottle of White Zinfandel; and another lady within our "division" gave me a $20 GC to Dunkin' Donuts! I felt horrible since I didn't realize they all went all out, so I didn't get anyone anything! At least now I know for next year!

Thank goodness I heard from her, because I was going absolutely INSANE! She's hanging in there. The medications she's on are making her sick enough to the point of passing out, falling down, etc. But, she needs them for her liver. Unfortunately, she might run into an issue next month as far as medical care, which I can hope isn't the case! So please, if you read this and care, please pray for her! Thanks so much!

Now, on a good note... I revamped my personal website! I added music to the main page, which works on IE, FF and Safari! It's not much of much, but it's definitely me LOL! I know, not much for everyone to get excited over, but I'm excited! LOL!
