Bharati last night

so yesterday i spent my time trying to pamper myself a bit before leaving home. my hair looked good, but it was impossible to style as i wanted, so i left it as it was. i can't find my kajal liner since last week, so i had to do with a small pencil i forgot to throw away.
i forgot to smokify my eyes so my blue looked good but unfinished. early signs of excitement
got there half an hour early. can't believe some people went in late, considering the price paid for a seat. mine wasn't among the most expensive, but still. i regret i wasn't seeing as much as i wanted the dancers.
the show itself was really good. i'm a bit disappointed about the details. those used to watch bollywood movies will find the end a bit too easy to guess, and not enough moving like the movies can do
. the set is beautiful, with a large screen in the back. the musicians enter first, then the show starts five minutes later. the show started with Nimbooda, a great song from Hum Dil Chuke Sanam
. except of course i'm used to Aishwarya's version so it was hard to watch another choregraphy. but it was ok. then the dances followed, each time with loud applauses from the public. apparently Bharati had a great feedback in France, that's why they came back for more dates. i enjoyed myself with some dance that is definitely attracting and gets to you.
sometimes we were explained a few things about India, why the bride wears red the day of her marriage for example. i would have liked a bit more suspense. at a moment i got the impression there was playback on one of the songs, which was frankly disappointing. oh well.
anyway, the show ends with Bole Chudiyan from K3G. ouch. i'm really addicted to that movie and that song in particular. they've added more speed to the song, that's fine, but they have also shortened it
what was great is in the end they asked us all to stand up and do a few moves with them and the main dancer playing Bharati.
then, because it was Jan. 26th, day of the Indian Republic, they all sang their national anthem. that was really nice
it is also the date the show started here, same place, two years ago. yay, great for them !!
i got out after spending two wonderful hours but in the same time, i kind of want more, like you walk out of a restaurant still hungry. lol.
