Given the fact that numerous MuTers wanted the MOTM voting to be different, we changed the way it's set up. Both an announcement was made, as well as it was in the newsletter.

PLEASE NOTE!!! Nominees are to be named each month from the 1st to the 7th. VOTING does not begin until the 8th. Please keep this in mind in order to make things fair for ALL MOTM nominees.

Okay, I was confused because I read the other post about the changes to MOTM, but when I nominated, the 'Vote Now' button was already there.

So are the votes that have been made going to be removed? Do I need to 're-vote' after the 8th?

I am not sure if the votes will be removed, but please ensure that you guys read the rules. We changed the rules of the MOTM voting based on feedback from members, but we could not turn voting on or off, the only thing that we can do is monitor it, and in the places that Aquilah specified, it said do not vote until the 8th........

Thanks Aprill. We're going to modify it within the MOTM page to also state that as a rule.

Yeah, This is a good idea since It wouldn't make sense to vote sooner since more people could be nominated.

I also noticed that the rules inside the poll booth have not been removed or changed, so hopefully it can be fixed. So disregard the rules inside the MOTM poll until they can be modified, with an exception to not being able to nominate past winners and moderators, those rules still stand. Everything else, refer to the newsletter and the thread specifically stating the rules change.
