Hi! Newbie Question About Skin Tone Numbers
Brand new here and I've noticed that many people will refer to what I believe is their skin tone by using something, for example, like "NC30."
How do I find out what these mean, and how would I go about classifying my own skin tone? After all, a lot of discussion and reviews are pretty irrelevant and not helpful unless you can do so. Thanks so much! |

NC30 is more of a mac term, since mac is used by many. I think n is neutral and c is cool but for some odd reason this is warmtoned. I don't personally use mac but maybe someone else here would be more able to accurately explain this.

It's your shade in Mac foundations. I've never used them, but it gives you a general idea of what color someones skin is.
