New & Need Advice
Greetings! I am a jewelry designer (clueless about the art of makeup) and was married on March 30th in Hawaii. I received so many compliments on the makeup in my photographs my mother suggested I should learn how to apply eye makeup. Does anyone have any suggestions as to a book or tutorial that will teach me about applying eye makeup?

Welcome to MUT! I am Marisol from San Francisco and I look forward to getting to know you. I looked at your pictures and you are gorgeous!
Check out the tutorial forums for some ideas on make up. I would also recommend looking at the Face of the Day forum for some inspiration. If you are looking for books, I would recommend Kevyn Aucoin's Making Faces. Its an awesome book and I find it quite helpful!

Hi welcome to MUT! You're very pretty in your wedding pics and the makeup is perfect. I don't know what book to recommend, but some of the members suggest Kevin A's Making Faces. I really need to take a look at this book too.

Wow! What a nice welcome and friendly group. Thank you so much for the compliments and I will surely pick up Kevin's book. I have seen it book stores, but wasn't sure how good it was. I remember hearing Kevin’s name several years ago, but wasn’t sure if he was still at the top of the list for makeup artists.
Marisol, I loved San Francisco! I was there many years ago for the Black & White Ball. Fabulously fun town! I tried checking the tutorials last night and it said I needed 300 or 800 posts before I could access that area. Is that correct? Am I doing something wrong? What a diverse group. Germany!??
