1/4 teaspoon?

I've never used any of the MAC pigments, but I really want to start trying them. I'm thinking about ordering some samples and I'm wondering how long 1/4 a teaspoon would last me. Does anyone have an idea? It doesnt have to be exact of course, but maybe a rough estimate?? TIA!!

Re: 1/4 teaspoon?

Yup, at least 20 uses. I've got 1/4 tsps that have lasted me ages so they're a good way to try out pigments.

Re: 1/4 teaspoon?

Depends on how much pigment you use each time, mine seem as if they're going to last me at least 30 uses. Typically I use them pretty sparingly, only needing to use some of what's on the inside of the lid.

Re: 1/4 teaspoon?

they're powder e/s, not pressed, so they can be messier, but they're not harder to apply. just take a bit on your brush and pat the e/s on (you can put some face powder under your eyes to catch anything falling down), then get some more if you want to.

Re: 1/4 teaspoon?

yep! i ordered samples of them and tried out...they were 1/4 tsp samples, and unless you use them as some sort of all over face highlighter they shld last for a long time..i'd say the 20+ uses is a good estimate

Re: 1/4 teaspoon?

i watched from enkore's video at youtube that he buys those 1/4 samples at starsmakeuphaven and he says it works great and its a great price esp. if you're just testing the colors. thought this'll help somehow.

btw what do you use with pigments anyway? is there a mixing medium, or do you just apply it on its own?

I think you can use them alone or with a mixing medium. I watched a video on Youtube and this girl had a full pigment jar she didn't like, so she took a clear lip gloss and mixed the pigment with it. She made this really pretty lip gloss.

Re: 1/4 teaspoon?

I love the pigments too! I used the M.A.C cream color base to hold it on in a color similar to the pigment I'm useing. I think the 1/4 teaspoon should last you about 20+ times as well. A little bit goes a long long way!
