70-color Palettes!!!
Well, I searched this topic (palettes) but I didn't really find what I was looking for.... so,
I was wanting some new eyeshadow, but at the moment, I am having a lack of money... so I looked on Ebay and there are these amazing 70-color palettes. Have any of you guys ever tried these big palettes, or would the quality be so bad it wouldn't even be worth it?? I really don't wear that much makeup, so the color doesn't have to be stellar-ly bright, just a little.
Any opinions or reccomendations would be greatly apprecated!!!
xoxoxo

Re: 70-color Palettes!!!
I've seen them, but I was too afraid they would be a waste of money. I think I'm gonna invest in a Mod Palette.

Re: 70-color Palettes!!!
Loreal,
I have seen these palettes on ebay as well. If it is the one I am thinking of the brand is a private label out of Hong Kong that is most typically sold to Asian salons. They have up to 160 color pallettes as well. I have never bought the shadow set (I get overwhelmed by Sephora's 40 colors in one box) but I did buy a professional set of makeup brushes from them last year that a friend of my turned me on to (I figured at the price then offered for 12 "professional grade" brushes that if they weren't the quality of replacement brushes I was looking for they would make a good gift). I was really surprised at the quality of the brushes. My only complaint is that the wooden handles are too thin (even for small hands) and it took some practice to be able to hold it steady to use. However, the quality of the brush itself is fantastic and blends beautifully. As far as the brush head, they are better than my Mary Kay set that I have had for years, so I keep them for travel. The company I bought from was Beauties Factory and they do offer a wide variety of shadow sets. My only complaint was that from time of order to receipt was about 5-6 weeks, but from Hong Kong that is about what to expect. What I recommend is you look at the buyer reviews of the seller you want to do business with and find ones that mention the product you are thinking about buying. This should give you a good idea of what those that bought it think of the quality of the pigment, how it goes and on and its staying power. Sometimes things aren't too good to be true!
Info below - hope this helps your decision!

Re: 70-color Palettes!!!
I dont know if this is any help to you but if you have any Claires/Icing by Claires stores by you, the ones that generally sell lots of cheap jewelry and other little things for kids that are like 14 yrs old well Ive seen in these stores some makeup palettes with tons of colors, the quality is NICE, and they are CHEAP..... well just all I could think of

Re: 70-color Palettes!!!
Whenever I see this gigantic makeup palettes around, half of the colours generally don't suit me. I even find this happens with small palettes, so I'm better off arranging my own!

Re: 70-color Palettes!!!
I've seen a lot of them online, my only thing is I worry about the quality of the shadows, I don't wanna spend on something that barely works.

i was just going to say that! i always wonder if it's those cheapo shadows that go on very light and are basically sh*tty so dont know ask around for someone that owns one

Re: 70-color Palettes!!!
I've bought cheap palettes before and I am always disappointed with the shadows, to me, it's just not worth it even if it is cheap.

Re: 70-color Palettes!!!
I'm all about quality over quantity so I would hesitate to buy something like that. Who really needs 70 shadows anyway? I would invest in a higher quality palette with less shadows. MAC has some really great ones and you can pick the colors that go in it. You don't have to fill it all right away - just gradually buy shadows when you can afford them.

Re: 70-color Palettes!!!
I bought one a couple of months ago and the quality is pretty good, you just need to pack it on. No complaints here!
