Another MAC piggie question (You can strangle me later *lol*)

Okay, I'm wondering if I'm applying these right... For one, they don't look very dark IMHO... Although, I know I'm kinda-sorta dark myself... Is there a trick to this, or am I just asking a dumb question since I haven't had anyone say I'm applying them wrong...

Also, when I'm blending, I don't seem to have a definitive difference between the two colors... I mean, it's there, but it doesn't seem even obvious enough to know I'm wearing 2-3 colors....

Is this all in my head, or did I just ask two legitimate questions???

Nope, sorry... No UDPP here... I've been meaning to ask about it...

Yeah, I always try to use extremely contrasting colors... There's not really any other way to do it IMHO *lol*

Definitely get UDPP. It has made such a difference for me in all of my shadows, esp the pigments and they will stay on alllllllll day.

Aye Captain Kelly! *lol* I will look into the UDPP! I went to the Urban Decay site, and checked into it... I'm debating on ordering it there, or what... Thanks gals!

I think that what might help is if you pat the shadows rather than blending them. I found that they aren't as sheer that way. Definitely use a base.

I was also going to recommend patting them on...

Yeah, I kinda patted/kinda blended the first time I tried them, and it looked more vibrant... I'm going to try again today and post an FOTD... Well, at least that's the plan for now *lol*

Hi darling! I agree w. everybody here, make sure you use a base/primer first and I think you' ll see a big difference. Also, have you ever apply the piggies wet, I find that the color is more intense when I use them wet... does that make sense ???? (I' m loosing my english today...)

Re: Another MAC piggie question (You can strangle me later *lol*)

I would try using a base with them to get them to stick in order to get more color out of them. Not ALL pigments are dark no matter how thickly you apply them, so that needs to be taken into consideration too.

As for the blending, I would just tell you to blend less than you currently are... I am not sure what else to tell you, what colors are you using together that you feel like you can't see a difference between the colors?

Hahahaha you are AWESOME, I have been asking myself these same qustions, I am glad you posted this!!! LOL

I second everyone's opinion about UDPP. This has to be the best invention of the make up world. LOL The shadows stay on FOREVER, no kidding... I bought mine at sephora.com for 14 bucks.

BTW, I got 3 new samples yesterday: Pink opal (which looks white in the container but sparkling pink on the skin), Goldennaire (GORGEOUS) and lovely lilly. Now I am DONE ! NO BUY!!!! LOL

Yeah...I agree with the patting, however, I don't use any primer as e/s seem to stay on fine for me. I heard that it is hard to blend with some primers..is that true?

I really haven't had a problem blending when I use either Shadesticks or Paints+CCB...in fact I feel like it is easier to blend when I have a base under it that way the e/s has something to stick to and when I blend the e/s doesn't come off...

Yup! It made sense! Funny, because I was wondering if that's what I should try to see how much more intense the piggies look... Thanks Delphine!

LMAO Yeah, but the piggies still seem to be a bit darker on you.. Although, you did say you use the UDPP... You'll like the piggies you just got... No buy?! OMG! What's that?! I'm headed in that direction myself!
