Applying False Eyelashes....any tips?

EDIT: Look below, my pics of my new false lashes adventure (Post #8).......

Ok, so I ventured out and bought false eyelashes, kinda for special occasions. I bought the full set and the single groupy ones (I'm sure there's a more professional name....). The full set looks easier, but the singles look like they could look more natural. Any suggestions? Like do I apply mascara first to my natural lashes, then apply the falsies? I read also to not apply mascara after I apply the lashes (to help them look more natural, I suppose also so you can use them over again too?).

Do I curl my own lashes too first????

I also apologize if this has already been asked....

Oh my goodness, thanks Marisol....I will take a look. I knew I should have done a search on this before I posted, but I guess I thought too late or was too lazy or both.

Thank you thank you

Re: Applying False Eyelashes....any tips?

I've used both types of lashes, and if you do it right, the full set can blend very well. Apply a really, really thin line and wait for it to get tacky. I'm working on being able to apply the single sets, but it's soooo time consuming for me. I usually end up taking them off before I finish and just using a full set. But, I guess, Practice makes better.

And, Marisol...thanks for the eyelash links!!

Re: Applying False Eyelashes....any tips?

Ok, well thank you everyone and I checked out the threads that were posted before....so since you've all been so helpful, I will have to experiment and then post my creation on FOTD! Pretty daring, as I've never done FOTD nor false eye lashes. Ok I lied, I did the falsh eye lashes once when I was way younger, when I use to still dress up for halloween. But they are for everyday now right?

Thanks! My husband actually made some comment about a circus person....and sang the circus tune (that's just him and he wasn't making fun, just giving his honest opinion)....only because he like VERY natural looks and honestly, this isn't bad....he's just him is all......I personally like them, but he said they look like some vegas girl or like some old granny with falsh lashes....what ever! He obviously has not seen some of the portraits on here! These are WAY tamed compared to others.

I used the full set...got them from WALMART, yup the cheapies! They are called "Salon Perfect" and only a few bucks! So I just put them on clean eyes, then did up my eyes afterwards to help hide any obviousness of the falsies. After the eye makeup, you can't really tell they are there, IMO.
