Blush for my mom

Hello all-
I will be making over my mom in a couple of months as she will be meeting Marie Osmond for the first time and she is sooooo excited! Anyway, she has very specific wants for her makeup and there is one thing in my arsenal that I just don't have. She wants a blush that has a red base, but not bright red and with no shimmer. A dark pink would be fine as well.

I wish I had my camera working but the adaptor is out. She has a medium skintone, with yellow-green eyes and we have been dying her hair a burgundy color for quite some time now. Thank you all so much and have a great day!

Re: Blush for my mom

Hi! I'm not sure if this is exactly what she'll want but it's an idea....I like Revlon cream blush in First Blush. It appears red in the compact, but you put it on and it is rather sheer and it's not shimmery. It blends pretty easily and gives you a rosy glow without looking like obvious blush. Plus it has a really cool mirror that pops out the side when you push a button!

Re: Blush for my mom

I have no idea, but give your Mum props and wish her luck from me on her upcoming meeting with Marie! That sounds fab and I can understand why she is on a search for her perfect blusher. I'd love to hear shades that match this description as well. Best of luck!

How are the Revlon cream blushes? I want this one named Precious Coral, it looks so pretty and peachy!

Re: Blush for my mom

hi! I only have one of the Revlon cream blushes (first blush-the reddish looking one). I love it! It's really easy to use! I'd like to try another shade sometime. It's so interesting because it isn't shimmery at all and the color looks so natural on your skin. It also has great staying power.

Re: Blush for my mom

Hi tinypinkbubbles,Great news about your Mother,i hope she has a great time. I was thinking that the color is use might be what she's looking for.Its a cream Lancome blush called Pomegrantit (though it does have a very slight shimmer) and is a deep plum/reedy tone.It looks great as a slight blush to the cheeks or can be built up as desired. It would compliment her hair too.I have been searching through my bulging handbag to look for it but as yet can't find it.It will be somehwere.Maybe your Mother could have a look at the colors online and she may find the right shade. There is also Benetint cheek stain but that may be too red.
