Concealer help & peachy lip gloss

i have a two questions for you ladies today

1) whenever i apply concealer i cant get it to cover blemishes, because when i try to blend it into my foundation it uncovers them. also, when i apply blush on my cheeks, it seems to uncover/highlight the blemishes underneath. any ideas what i can do? when applying the concealer, would using a brush instead of my fingers help?

2) i would like to get a peachy lipgloss next. i like the colour of maybellines fruitylicious fruitgloss in peaches & cream, but it comes out way to sheer for it to look peachy on my lips. any suggestions for good ones? mac stila, etc.
also, any ideas for a peachy eyeshadow to go with it?

thanx

if it has to be the same colour can i just dot on some foundation to cover it up? or do concealers have a different texture?

Re: concealer help & peachy lip gloss

In response to the peachy eyeshadow request...
I don't know if you have the store Ulta in the UK... but if you do.. they have Ulta brand makeup there (inexpensive) and the eyeshadow called "Sunburst" is a shimmery peachy-golden color.

Also, Bare Escentuals' i.d. bare minerals has a peach eyeshadow called "Peach Puff" $12 on Sephora and Nars "Faith" eyeshadow is a peachy-gold also for around $20.

Re: concealer help & peachy lip gloss

I also had a very hard time finding peach anything in my local drugstores ... but I finally found some good products from Mod Cosmetics! (www.modcosmetics.com) Their lipgloss in Sizzle is perfect -- Great peachy color, good pigmentation (not sheer), shiny, not too sticky .... For peach eyeshadows I really like Mod's eyeshadow pallette #i29 -- it has two peachy colors, a bright pink, a reddish-peach, and a weird light purple/gray that I haven't figured out what to do with yet, lol. You can see a picture here:

http://www.makeuptalk.com/forums/gal...cosmetics2.JPG

The shadows are fairly matte (but with just a hint of shimmer), but have wonderful pigmentation, better than any drugstore brand! :icon_love They recently raised their prices but they're still cheaper than Mac!

Re: Concealer help & peachy lip gloss

The blush problem.. I find myself having to wait for the foundation to 'dry' a bit, about 15 minutes or so. But if i'm in a hurry, I dab it lightly with tissues, but it doesn't look that great, really. but, the blush covers it up a bit so you really can't tell. Waiting is usually best, yeah.. just do your eye makeup and eyebrows or eat breakfast then continue doing your makeup or something.

Yeah I think Trisha is right about using a slight tone darker concealer, because I always was used to use lighter concealers and it didn`t cover my dark circels good. But once I had tried a slight darker one, and it did look much better and more natural, then the lighter tone concealer!

I normally pat them instead of blending. Find that it covers better

Since my lips are quite pink , i use BeneFit lip plump (or you can use concealer) to cancel out the pink in my lips first, then i add the peachy gloss!
I totally agree with Trisha!! I love Stila's Peach, as an everyday light peach and Orange when I want a more bright tropical look!!! I think I'll have to try also Tangerine!!!

Ohh and my HG lipgloss Mac's Pink Lemonade, is not so peachy more pink I would say, but it's a bright shade, I wear it everyday and I love it!!! I tried once Fancy That, it's a more peachy terracota shade on my lips!
