Do you ever cut down the handle of your liner brush?

I'm finding that when I put on my eyeliner that the handle on the liner brush keeps bumping into my mirror and I can't get close enough to see. Do you ever just cut the handle down?
Thanks in advance

I think its a good idea. I buy my liner brushs from micheals, and have to look for the shortest handle they have.

I'm not sure I could make myself do this, even for a cheap brush but if you are fine with it go for it. As for expensive brushes that are too long, I wouldn't know what to do that wouldn't make me cry lol

I use a cake liner and the Benefit Get Bent liner brush. It's already got a pretty small handle.

Re: Do you ever cut your liner brush handle down?

Well, my 266 brush....

I had it in a little bag and it dropped on the floor when I was getting ready for work one day. I was running a little late so I fogot about it.
The next day I stepped on it. Broke the handle off. Oh no! But, as it turns out, It was the best thing that could of ever happened. I think it broke off right after the "A" in MAC on the handle. It fits perfectly with my Clinique cake eyeliner case. It's just the right size. If I lose this one, I will be devastated. I don't think I can bring myself to cut down a brand new one.

Oh how I love my broken 266 brush :icon_love

I have read that some people do saw off the handles to make them smaller.

Re: Do you ever cut down the handle of your liner brush?

Thank you everyone for your opinions/replies. My brushes are all MAC so they are not cheap. It's all YOUR fault for making me such a MAC Addict. Just kidding, but I am going to shorten them a bit. BTW, I originally bought my first slanted/angled eyeliner brush #266 and then wanted a smaller liner one too so I ended up buying #209 yesterday. I thought I was going to buy the #311, but the #209 looked finer. I haven't used it yet, but I will tomorrow.
Thanks for all your advice. It's great having so many varied opinions.
Joy
