I've been doing this for such a long time that I don't even recall when I first started.

I blot my mascara wand with a tissue and then very lightly run it over my eye brows. The reason I do this is because my eyebrows are much lighter than my hair and in doing this, they match - it looks natural because I use a light hand. It might sound weird to some, but after all these years, no one has ever said or commented on it. It looks totally natural.

Does anyone else do this? Or am I all alone

I dont do it because my brows are very dark anyway plus i use BeneFit Brow Zing but i have heard of make up artists mentioning this so i dont think you're alone honey!

Not the eyebrows thingie, but I do blot my mascara (with a Bounty paper towel) before applying. I'm forever screaming, "Baby, bring me a paper towel, please!"

I used to do that before I found brow products.
It worked fine and I think some of the products marked for brows but that look like mascaras are just that.

I don't do this either because my eyebrow hairs are dark enough on their own. However I have heard of using clear mascara to keep your eyebrow hairs in place.

I used to do that with clear mascara, but as some of the others have said, my brows are pretty dark on their own.

Good for you though to improvise!

I don't do that, but rather use a product like mascara specifically for eyebrows. If you want to give it a whirl you can pick up one by IsaDora at Walgreen's. My brows are virtually invisible so I have to do something.

Amethyst, you are NOT alone! I do this too! Not everyday, but sometimes! And until I get off my butt and buy a product that's meant for my eyebrows, I guess I'll keep on doing it! lol!

I never thout of that so im going to have to try it.Im such a spazz ill probably smear it all over my forhead. I wipe my mascara wand on a small piece of wax paper.

No sorry, I don't do that. I don't like my brows, so I try not to draw attention to them

I do that also, I also do it to my facial hair when I want a "rafish/ rakish" look. I use brow pencils as well.

I used to do that, but now I don't have eyebrows (I draw them on). I do it to other people when I do their makeup though, sometimes, if their brows need more color/definition
