I feel like I am in a makeup rut! I'd really like to step it up a little instead of just neutral shadow and mascara..but I don't know where to begin. How do I create depth and diminson? (Instead of a one-coloured dull look!) and what can I do to draw more attention to the eyes and really make them pop? I am clueless to what combos to wear..I fear looking like a clown. I'd love to just try that purple or orange liner with red shadow..(lol) so does anybody have any ideas or color combos? If it helps, I have bluey green eyes and light brown/blonde hair. Thank-you!! Any advice is apperciated!

When I want to make my eyes stand out more I usally go for a lite bronze brown colour all over the lid then I add a darker brown along the bulge of the eye (if you no what i meen lol) and blend it in slighty!. It usally works quite good for me but it takes practise.

Hi Kam,

I have the same color eyes as you (kind of teal or blue/green with gold flecks) and I find the following colors really make them pop:

1. Reddish Browns (NARS New York) - bring out the green
2. Subtle plums (Rimmel's Trio #624 Lynx)
3. Taupey greens (Chanel's Basic Eye Color Trio in Sun/Storm/Earth or Dior's Ombre Plume Light and Lasting Eyeshadow in Autumn Leaf)
4. Orangey browns really bring out the blue (a Dior quad called Discretion has a really good one in it)

Maybe you could start with adding some darker color to your crease and outer V and than go from there in changing the wash color and darker crease and outer V colors.
