Eyecolor, what color?
Hi experts! I have hazel green eyes and light skin, what color should I use to make my eyes shine out? I also read on your website people with small eyes, like I do, should try to put the eyeliner on the top of their eyelid to make it look bigger.
However, I try to do it and mess up all the time! How do you suggest the best way to apply the liner?
Thanks!

I find the easiest way is to sort of look down, and start from the inner corner and slowly make a line toward the outer corner, thickening the line as you get to the end. You can also gently press your finger on the outer corner of your eye to keep the skin a little more taut.

You might like a light brown shadow to make the green in your eyes pop!

I have hazel eyes, and I find that pinks and silvers/greys really make them pop. That said, I also love most any neutral for my hazel eyes.

I have brown eyes... I wish I had at least hazel or blue - e/s seems to "pop" more on light eyes... especially smoky looks...

Re: Eyecolor, what color?
Hey Cali-Girl, I have hazel eyes too & they're fun to work with! Since my hazel eyes have more brown than green, I like to use golden green shadows to bring out my natural color. You can also try soft violet/purple shades. Green & purple are complimentary colors on the color wheel, so if you put these colors next to each other, they both look brighter.
And I second Janelle's advice about holding the skin at the outer corner of your eye taut -- it's key in getting a smooth line! If you don't normally use eyeliner, I'd start with a soft pencil (gotta love MAC's Powerpoint, esp. in Tealo ) and then, if you want a more dramatic look, try Stila's Smudgepots or MAC's Fluidline. Both are gel formulas, which are far less messy than liquid liner! Try making your liner the most intense at the outer corners as well... and lining your *upper* inners rims can open up your eyes as well.
Check out Trish's notepad for some fun greens & purples!

Re: Eyecolor, what color?
I have bluish-green eyes (more green, unless I'm wearing blue) and they really stand out when I use a peach or apricot shade so I imagine this would bring out the green in your eyes! Also purples work well for green and brown eyes.
I don't use greens, but I'm imagining hazel eyes with a forrest green color, seems like that would really bring out the green in yours eyes! When I wear a green top, I always get complements! Seems like the same color shadow or liner might work!
