I always thought I had brown eyes, but my friends tell me I have green - or a really dark green. I have noticed since taking hundreds of colourful crazy photos for the Dare To Be - A Scene Queen comp, that in some of the pictures, it did appear as if I had green - still in others, a dark brown.
But, if it is possible I have both, what colour eyeshadows would bring out the green in my eyes.
I absolutely love green eyes!

hmm. Taupes and purples? that's what I associate with bringing the green out. Maybe bronzes and golds too.

Would you post a pic? I want to see what I think now, LOL

This is actually from a couple of days ago when I died my hair with a red washout - I just noticed the colour matches my eyebrows...


In this photo, I think my eyes are brown, but that might be because it's a little blurry:




I was just looking at some of my old photos from a year ago, and my eyes definitely look brown... I actually wear glasses (but not when taking photos cuz you can't see the makeup), so would my eye colour change as my eyesight improves - or decreases...

Sorry about getting all scientific, I'm just curious and eyes are my best feature so I've always put a lot of effort into eye makeup.

Also, depending on the lighting, my hair is brown with natural red and blond highlights - if that helps. Don't ask me how I can have natural red and blond highlights.... it was actually red until I died it plum 3 years ago. It has completely grown out, but my hair has been different since...

I think my eyes are similar. Really contrasting colors light them up, also purple or green liner tend to do that. It's not just the color, but the intensity too. A deep purple would probably make your eyes look lighter and brighter too.

my favourite colours are green and purple but I only have a black eyeliner... I have been meaning to get one that matched my eye colour (when I thought they were brown) so I'll look around for a purple or green... I've been wearing a lot of purple eyeshadows so that might explain why my friends decided my eyes were actually green...

I tried golds yesterday and they really brought out the green and the gold flecks in my eyes! So thanks for the help!
I love blending eyeshadows, so I'm wearing purple, silver and green today and my eyes look green!

Purples, I have always heard purples brings out the green. My mom has green eyes and she is always wearing purples.

For me it's:

pewter, plum, brown, taupe, aqua, and anything with a brownish-reddish tint.

i have deep green eyes, i like to call them forest green. i love to wear eyeshadow that has a bit of gold, bronze, eggplant, mauve, lilac, purple.
Try using a plum colored mascara. Benefit's BadGal mascara now comes in a pretty plum color.

Thanks girls! I actually have all those colours cuz I bought this small box of shadows from the chemist and it was so cheap! I don't have a plum colored mascara so I'll have to add that to my shopping list with the purple, green and chocolate brown eyeliner. lol
I buy my makeup at the $2 shop cuz it's cheap, does the job and I don't have the money to buy real makeup... but, at least it means I can gets heaps of makeup!!!

Great suggestions so far. I definately agree, I actually have different coloured eyes myself, I have one blue eye and one green eye! When I wear purpley-mauvey colours it really brings out the green eye nicely!
