Did you guys hear about the scandal over Penelope Cruz and Loreal's ad for Telecospic, claiming the 60% full lashes. She was wearing fake lashes. NO wonder her lashes look so FULL.

I think that they should use their real eyelashes to use the mascara for the ad. It's false advertising. No wonder, I'm sure other companies do the same. Cause when I use their mascara, my lashes did not look anywhere near the picture.

Almost all ads are misleading. I know there was a Maybelline commercial that showed a girl that had these lashes that looked like a little black fan, you could not even see through they they were so thick. All of it is airbrush, lashes or photoshop. Look how smooth everyones skin is in ads. No one has even a single pore.

On the plus side, I have tried a lot of drugstore mascaras, and Telescopic and Lash Stylist have been the best ones I have tried.

I have not tried Telescopic yet. Lash Stylist was not for me. I want volume and length. But about the ads, yes, the lashes are fan like, they are huge, and then you think wow, if I buy this mascara I will get those pair of lashes she has on her. But I buy all the ones that come out to try them, and not only a waste of money but they don't deliver what they advertise. Maybelline has so many mascaras, and just a few really are good at all. Through the years, you look at magazines and you see their lashes, and they are fake.

Max Factor 2000 calorie is a classic. Great lash is another. Revlon mascara is not very good. Loreal has good mascaras. That is what I have tried so far.

So many companies do that, even the more expensive brands. It is false advertising of course, and they get away with it. Most cosmetic companies do false advertising in my opinion

i want volume but like extreme volume like no other lol. anyone know a good mascara for that?

I always assume they're wearing fake lashes . . . everything else is fake about them after all! Like Becki said, they don't even have PORES! LOL!

Well, it was quite obvious to me that she was wearing falsies in the ad...I mean, come on...who really has lashes like that?

I think Dior Show gives alot of volume. I have not bought it yet.

When I saw the commercial I immediately knew they were false. I think a lot of companies do the same exact thing, it doesn't bother me too much but maybe they should have at least one person in the commercial wearing the real thing.

I have it and it does give great volume, but still nowhere near the ''falsies'' look.

Every ad does this!! That's what makes you want to buy the product. Wouldn't it be great to have commercials without added photoshopping etc...Then you could see if the product REALLy works.

I know sometimes I look at a cover of a magazine and go "wow she has great skin" but she probably got airbrushed and goes home and uses Pro-Activ..lol...just like regular people. lol.

No wonder it seemed way to good to be true. I bought it and it did make my lashes look nicer. Well I hope Penelope Cruz dosen't get any "beef" for this, I mean, it was probably under her contract to not say anything or something. And if Loreal is getting critized for this, then all other companies should too.

I agree with BeneBaby, every ad does this.

The first time I saw the ad with Penelope, the first thing I said was "those are false lashes..." to my mom. lol. It's pretty obvious.
