Fall Makeup Trends
What new makeup have you bought for the fall season? Do you like it? And Why? I'm always looking for new products - and I value your opinion s. Thanks. Agostina

Re: Fall Makeup Trends
I've bought a lot of reds and berries and highlighters, etc. Red lips and berry lips are big for the Fall. Berry and jewel toned eyeshadows are great and of course always smokey eye colors. I bought a lot of Rockocco stuff from Mac and some Victoria's Secret eyes stuff (the new Very Sexy quad which I love).

Re: Fall Makeup Trends
I haven't bought any of my fall colors yet! I need to get started. Like Jeana said, berries and reds are great fall colors! Reds don't look very good on me, so I'm going to stick with berry colors. Let us know what you decide to buy!!

Re: Fall Makeup Trends
I usually don't buy new makeup for each season. I just do whatever I feel like and don't pay attention to the season.

Yeah same here. I just put on whatever I feel like wearing or whatever matches my outfit and looks good on me. Not all trends will look good on you.

Re: Fall Makeup Trends
I don't want to sound ignorant, but I've lived in a tropical country for many years and I now live in Arizona where the seasons are not exactly spring, summer, fall, winter, but spring, summer, light summer, and not summer. Needless to say, I really do not get why we have to match the color of our eyeshadows with the color of falling leaves. Is it really so wrong to wear teal or green eyeshadows during this time? Or pink bubblegum-colored gloss? Is is a fashion faux pas to wear summer-colored makeup?
I'm not trying to be sarcastic, but I would really want to know. Thanks.

Re: Fall Makeup Trends
Periwinkle sky - no you don't have to follow seasonal trends - which has nothing to do with were you live - I live in LA - we don't really have seasons either - but, I see a definite shift in womens makeup colors when a new season comes for the fashion industry - but, it is LA - we do tend to be more trendy - I personally find it fun. But, I am a makeup artist too - that has alot to do with it.
No not all trends work for everyone - but, there's usual so many different looks with in a season that there tends to be something for everyone. I do feel that changing up your makeup with keep you ageless. So, please by all means do whatever you want - just keep it fresh and please do it well.

Re: Fall Makeup Trends
I dont really follow trends just because of the season, if I like them I will give it a try, but I sometimes i like more summery makeup and other days more fall/darker colors, and I don't care what season it happens to be! lol

I agree.
Actually I don't really buy season makeup just to follow the trend.
I bought some of them because I like them and to complete my collections lol.
I only purchased shu uemura e/s fall for fall mu, that's all for the fall makeup.

I love bubblegum colored gloss and wouldn't stop wearing it b/c some fashion mag said it was a no-no. I say wear whatever you want. I'm lucky b/c I love berries and reds (and they happen to be 'in'), but I mean if they said the look was a bunch of oranges and yellows or something I would | |
