Foundation...

Everyone tells me to use foundation...evens out the skin tone, blah, blah, blah. But, the only problem I found is that most of the foundation out there feels like I'm wearing a mask. I also have a problem with breaking out after I put the foundation on (I'm talking within hours of putting it on). Is there anything out there that can help "even out" my skin tone without giving me the "teen nightmares"? I've tried MAC, but *egads* that didn't work out well.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Foundation...

i have the same problem. i have super sensitive skin. the closest i've come to real foundation is tinted moisturizer. i'm looking for something that will give me the flawless look, but feels like i have nothing on.

you might want to try prescriptive, they usually good for not breakin you out.

Re: Foundation...

hi honey...even i had the same problem...when i wear foundation i will feel that the face i see in the mirror is not mine...bcos it looks very artificial...i wanted something to give me a glow and give me a healthy skin...so i opted for tinted moisturiser...i am using Trish McEvoy Tinted moisturiser and i love it...its very good for me...i feel my skin has got better and i look really good now.

Re: Foundation...

You should try mineral makeup. I use B.E. and I will never go back to liquid. I have a few acne scars so I use bisque first then the foundation, it covers really nicely for me.

Re: Foundation...

I have the same problem! Prescriptives is the only foundation I have ever used that didn't break me out. Get a sample and try it!

Re: Foundation...

how about a hypoallergenic powder-foundation? its good enough to cover up blemishes and shouldn't feel so heavy. i'd suggest almay or clinique.

Re: Foundation...

I'd suggest some sort of mineral makeup or one of the Prescriptives foundations. I like Aromaleigh for minerals and Virtual Skin from Px.

Does anyone here use sheer cover. My mother in law gave me some the other day and so far I love it.

Re: Foundation...

If you are young with basically good skin, I think tinted moisturizer should be a great choicefor you. Especially, if you like a natural look. Foundations vary from quite sheer to heavy coverage and I don't think you should go any heavier than you need to even out your skin tone.

After reading the mixed reviews about BE mineral makeup, I landed on Jane Iredale's mineral line instead. As I recall, there wasn't one negative review of it, EVEN at the Cosmetic Cop site (and if Paula actually likes something, yes, I'm impressed!) That may be because there are less people trying Jane Iredale than BE though.... Anyway, I tried it out at a local salon and my skin felt great with it. I usually prefer stronger coverage but it looked natural AND flattering...and the younger girl at the salon said she wore it and her skin was BEAUTIFUL....I have some coming soon from eBay, I think it will be very good for my skin. If you get to where you want more than tinted moisturizer, mineral mu would probably be an excellent choice.

Re: Foundation...

I had the same problem, and then I tried Colour ID by Lancomê, and it didn't feel like a mask at all, and the texture is so thin, but it will give coverage, Ask for a tester, and try it for a week...
