So i will admit that im not the best at putting on makeup, so im just wonderin if anyone has any tips. Seriously, its bad and i need some help. Thanx!

I generally find that practice makes perfect. As far as colors and things go, if you could post a picture of yourself I am sure everyone would be able to help out! Good luck.

I was the same way a five years ago... and what i did was go out and get a couple good makeup books, watch the tutroials here or on youtube, and when you observe someones makeup you like, go home and try to recreate it... but you have to practice every day.... put it on and wash it off and try again..... You practiced to get a drivers license... no difference.... imho...

it just takes practice, tools, & skill. and don't think you have to have the best of everything- i've found a lot of drugstore products work just as well as high end brands. this is the best site for makeup help! so just look around, do searches, the tutorials are very helpful..good luck!!

i know you'll hear this THOUSAND times but practice really does make perfect. check out the tutorials on here; they're really useful and they help me a lot! also there are lots of great tutorials on youtube. i like video tutorials because you can actually see what the person is doing and imitate them. good luck and welcome to MUT!

ITA. I suck at doing the V for eyeshadow and i'm pretty crap at blending so if i've got a bit of free time, i literally do it, wash it off and do it again, wash it off and do it again. i still suck at it but i used to reeealllyyyy suck at it lol.

the member tutorials and fotd are brilliant cos if you see something you like but need something explained more or more help, the person who did it is only a pm away and everyone will help as much as they can.

Well you are on a great site to help improve that! Just start posting pics and ask for peoples advice! Constructive criticisim will help the best. Go through some of the picture tutorials, especially the basic ones, and that will help LOADS!! I would also reccomend getting a makeover at MAC and asking the makeup artist for some basic tips that you can easily recreate.

of course as everyone as said just practice and also just to be use soft, neutral colors that compliment your skin and apply the makeup lightly...don't go too heavy...you don't want to look too made up.
