Help!!! Eyelash issues!!!

So here's my dielema... Okay when I put mascara on the part to the mascara that is on the end of my lash (you know where its all mascara for lenght and not lash) it bends down, not towards my face but out!!! I've tried a lot of mascaras and I cant get a good one that doesnt clump to do this.

Then a thought came to mind........eyelash curler. So I stole my mothers, which is god knows how old and I suck arse it. But the tip off my lashes doesnt bend down.....at least for a few hours.

So I decieded to do what I heard on a post. Use the hair dryer on the curler then curl the eyelashes. Okay, so I heated it up then put it own and burned the crap out of my eye lid , yay......But my mascara didn't bend down as soon as it had before.

Should I just bread down and buy some really expensice mascara and if so what does everyone recomed? Should I buy a heated eyelash curler? I heard they dry out the lashes, but if i mositurize them will it be okay??

Any feedback would be great!!! Looking foward to your ideas!!!

Re: Help!!! Eyelash issues!!!

I have tried Sephora's heated lash curler and wasn't that impressed at all, but that is just me. Too, there are different types of heated lash curlers so maybe a different type is better.

I have found that if I clasp the lash curler at the base of my lashes and hold it for 15 seconds, then move up to the middle lash, then to the top lash, holding it each time for 15 seconds, my lashes stay curled MUCH better! HTH!

Re: Help!!! Eyelash issues!!!

i would buy a good eyelash curler. one good one is shu uemuras. it is kind of expensive
but worth it. i have one and i love it. it really makes a difference.

also, when you curl your lashes, get as close to the base of the eyelashes, w/o pinching
the skin and hold it for 5 sec's then release. a couple times should do the trick.

hope this helps

Re: Help!!! Eyelash issues!!!

I still have the same old curler I've had for years, and it's still working just fine for me. I just apply primer, and then hold the curler there for 15 seconds (counting 1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi...) and then apply my mascara. Works wonders for me!

Re: Help!!! Eyelash issues!!!

I would suggest trying the Lash Stylist as the base coat on your lashes (one or two coats to get the length you want). Then as the final coat or two, use a curling mascara. I prefer maybelline Sky High Lengths (or curls...can't remember and I'm too tired to run upstairs and look, LOL).

I think the "tip" is bending over because of the fibers. But, the curling mascara dry and bends back, so it should help pull those lengthening fibers into line.

Well, try that and see if it works.

Re: Help!!! Eyelash issues!!!

I find lash stylist very difficult to work with, I've been getting great results with cover girl, lash exact and I've also heard max factor, lash perfection is good too, I can't get it in Canada so I don't know about that one myself.good luck
I also wiggle the wand up and hold at the top for a sec

Re: Help!!! Eyelash issues!!!

okay, thats good, Right now i dont mind spending a lot of money on an expensive mascara cuz I buy a lot of make-up on ebay to save some bucks. By the way I heard that its all about the brush on the masacara wand. Is this true? Thanks again every1!!!

Re: Help!!! Eyelash issues!!!

I think it might actually BE the Lash Stylist that is making the tips fall like that. All I can think is that bc the mascara is a very "wet" mascara when you apply it, if it is humid where you are, that re-wets the mascara so that it falls at the tips which are not reinforced by having a lash at the center of the mascara "tube...:

WOW, that was a technical definition...Definitely the science side of me coming out.

I would say not to put so much mascara on the tips of your lashes or maybe try using a drier mascara than LS...

your diagram was funny LOL thanks for doing it. now i get it!

i definitely think LS just sucks. i hated it. did you try covergirl's lash exact? i LOVE the rubber brush. i use the shu uemura curler with it and it looks great.
