when wearing your shadow, do you prefer matte or shimmer... i am straddling the fence regarding both

I prefer shimmer, but I think it depends. I think there's a time and a place for both

It all depends. I have both. I tend to wear my shimmer shadows in the summer and at night. My matte shadows i tend to wear during the day but it is all personal preference. There is no such thing as owning too many shadows so buy the same color in shimmer and matte to see wich one fits you best.

i think i have way too many of both... it seems like evry time i go shopping, the first thing i buy is some sort of makeup(eyeshadow mainly) it seems like i buy a new container every six months... i just bought the big one from sephora, but i KNOW i will out grow it soon... thanks for the welcome guys... i was wearing a lot of shimmer for a while, but then i got addicted to the matte shadows... when i am feeling flirty, i might throw some glitter over it..



also... when i do makeup, the eyebrows are my favorite part to do.. any one else have favorite features???

A light shimmer for day. I have medium/dark skin, so matte shadows just disappear on my oily lids.

I like shimmer the most but I usually dont like the colors shimmer shadows come in, sometimes they are a bit too much so I just use matte shadows and then swipe some pigment on top.

I like both, it really depends on the look that I'm going for. I'd say I have about half matte and about half shimmery.

I have eyeshadows that can also be classed as "semi-shimmery" in addition to matte and shimmery ones.
