After growing more confident with wearing makeup and different colors, I tend to go all out now. That's good... but I've forgotten how to just look natural!
I like bright lips, or eyecatching cheekbones. I like to be ridiculous and outstanding, and I think I've lost my ability to simply look normal. I guess my taste in makeup is catching up to my taste in fashion! I'm having all kinds of trouble with this natural look thing today.

I also like looking natural, but I do that on weekends. I wear makeup everyday for work purposes. I like my mascara, lipstick. Weekends I am clear of it. It takes too much time..lol. Just lip gloss for a natural look

I don't know it's like when I pull out the moisturizer, primer, foundation, eyebrow pencil... well by that time it's point of no return and suddenly I am applying yellow eyeshadow or red lipstick... haha (but not those two together)

I don't have much makeup to experiment with, but I feel like if I'm going to go thru all this work, it might as well be for something eye catching!

Not that it's a whole lot of work, I've just been super lazy when it comes to makeup lately

Natural is the only makeup look I know how to do... I wish I could do brighter, more dramatic!

That's funny, 'cause I was just thinking the same thing to myself the other day....

I don't really wear a lot of makeup anyway...but lately I have been feeling like wearing even less....I seem to go through different phases/moods when it comes to makeup!

For years, I was so infatuated by makeup that I truly thought I'd "forgotten" how to do a good natural look--and I didn't try them either. Then I turned 30 and thought I would try again and it worked okay--I just made myself stick to basics:beige or other neutral e/s,l/g, mascara,TM, and a little blush or bronzer. (Still sounds like a lot, but it's a lot less,too!) I'm more comfortable usually like this,unless I'm going out...just start with the basics again, is the easiest way to get back to natural, imo. And: why do you need/want to go back to natural if you are enjoying the dramatic look and are accomplished at it?You are a young girl, it's a good time to experiment with looks and colors--imo you can werr fewer as well when you get older. But I guess,no matter where you are,almost, it's almost always good to know how to "go home"! (Or where you started.)

I try to balance out my make-up. So if I know I don't have anything big planned for the day, or just having friends over or whatever, I tend to go for the natural look (foundation, mascara, brown eyeliner & beige eyeshadow). But during the school year, I feel that way, that I've forgotten how to look 'natural' cuz I wear more make-up!

The key to look natural is minimal makeup. Very lightly.

I am the same way Momo. It's like once you get to a certain point...well you might as well go all the way..heheh. For me, I sit there and say liner or not??? And then I say well..I did the shadow so well, liner would look great..and there goes the natural look.

You know Momo, I'm the same way as well, I just like colors so much. It seems like when I do a natural look, I end up feeling plain, it's nothing wrong with looking natural, I've just grown to love my eye shadows.

i kinda got the hang of it cause i sat for a few days just practising natural makeup, which is still strange to me cause i feel kinda naked without all the bright bright bright shades.
