Lip Gloss

I love all types of Lipgloss, no lipstick !!What type of tinted lipgloss can I buy that doesnt give me white stuff in corner of my lips? Some gloss is too sticky and some just makes my mouth feel icky. I have nice size lips and have been told that the white stuff forms because my lips are big, but i believe it has something to do with what type of lip gloss I wear..Does this sound strange ????

no i have the same problem, and i have big lips...maybe its the AMOUNT we wear? i find (this may be weird)n that if i take a toothbrush(i have it for this especially) and i exfoliate my lips before putting lip gloss on, it doesnt happen...and i guess if you lick your lips alot too...anyways lemme know

Re: Lip Gloss

Yeah....I think I might try using a toothbrush to exfoliate my lips. (never thought of that) What do you scrub with?

Re: Lip Gloss

It has nothing to do with the size of the lips, but with exfoliating you lips now and then. Exfoliating is very important in making you skin look healthy and to give a healthy glow, and the same applies of the lips, exfoliate gently, and remove the dead skin cells, and this problem disappers, Almost. The second thing is to keep you mouth moist, thus drinking water, and lots of it (2liter per day) to keep saliva production going. I use to get this before, and my doc suggested doing this, and this happened very rarely now a days...

Re: Lip Gloss

I would suggest not licking your lips and exfoliating...cuz that white stuff is usually dead skin cells...

Re: Lip Gloss

I get this problem when i workout. Think it has a lot to do with hydration.

Re: Lip Gloss

^ Agreed...drink some more water and see how it goes. Also, if your lips are constantly cracking/dry...that could also be a sign of dehydration.

Re: Lip Gloss

is it in the corners of your lips? i went to the doctor because i had white flaky skin in the corners of my lips..(like cold sores that never go away) and i was told it was a defiency of B vitamens..once i started taking a multi-vitamen i don't have that problem anymore. but it could just be dehydration. try getting a good lip treatment with vitamen e and applying that before any lip application and at night before bed. also use more hydrating glosses. the more pigmented they are, the more matte and thus, drying..so try to keep them moisturized.

Re: Lip Gloss

Warning on exfoliating : lips are very fragile areas on your face, so you want to be very gentle when scrubing, or else your lips will be chapped.

Re: Lip Gloss

Great info ladies! As far as the lipgloss itself, have you tried Revlon Super Lustrous?
