MAC 184 brush???

I always see these fan shaped brushes everywhere & I have no clue what they are used for...............can anyone explain it to me...............do I need one & I just don't know it????

its used to remove excess powder off your face but i also saw an mua use it for a highlighter in the tutorial section.

I ADORE fan brushes. I use them on clients for diffused blush, highlighters and even for defining the crease. I will caution these brushes are easier to use on other people than yourself. But I do think it's worth a try if you don't mind a little practice.
