Mac Beauty Marked & Owl - what to pair them with?

Hi all -

I busted out my Mac palette from a few years ago - hardly touched.
It has Smut and Vex that I use a lot - so much that I bought the full sizes.

The Beauty Marked and Night Owl always scared me.

What can I pair them with?

Re: Mac Beauty Marked & Owl - what to pair them with?

I vote pair them together for a smokey eye... I dunno what Night Owl looks like aside from a pick (and it looks like Black Tied)...

NIGHT OWL
1. Discrete as a wash, Crystal on the lid, Trax in the crease, Vex with Night Owl in crease & to line.

2. Parfait Amour wet with a brush from lashline to crease, Night Owl in the crease.

BEAUTY MARKED
1. Foxy Lady e/l on lid w/ Beauty Marked over it.

2. Juiced with Beauty Marked, Greensmoke, Meadow, Leisure Time, Motif, or Sketch.

3. One of my FAV looks, Pink Freeze from lashline to brow, Sketch in the crease (turns sketch a violet purple color ) w/Sketch to line or Beauty Marked.

4. Surreal on lid w/ Beauty Marked in the crease.

5. Electra all over, Quarry in outer corners, Beauty Marked to line & in the crease & a little Trax blended on the inner crease.

6. Pearl CCB, Yogurt all over, Melton Mauve on lid & blended into crease, Trax lightly on outer edge, Beauty Marked to line, Pink Freeze on inner corner.

7. Stilife all over, Crystal on lid, Trax in crease, Smolder to line w/ Beauty Marked over top.

8. Shale with Crystal on the lid, Beauty Marked in outer crease & if you want extra 'wow' you could use Pink Freeze as a liner.

9. Pink Freeze as a wash, Trax from lash to crease, Sketch in the crease & Beauty Marked to line.

10. The trick is to blend the black & the bronze so you can’t really see either one on its own. Line eyes with Smolder pencil first...top and bottom, Mylar all over from lashline to browbone, Beauty Marked applied it to the lid. Start really slowly and keep building & blending until the desired effect is reached (you can definitely vary this if you want & go really light or really dramatic). Apply Mulch in the crease kind of heavy. Take a big fluffy brush & blend & blend, & blend, & blend until everything is super blurred. Top it off with another dose of Mylar on the browbone & a light lining again with Smolder.

11. Motif as wash, Blackberry in crease, Beauty Marked at outer >.

12. Quarry on lids, Trax in crease & Beauty Marked on the outer corners.

13. Trax lid & crease, Quarry outer lid, Beauty Marked crease, BB Violet Gel liner upper w/ Beauty Marked pushed in to soften.Teddy on lower lashline w/ Quarry pushed in to set & give it a plummy look.

14. Electra as wash, Shale in crease, Beauty Marked blended w/ Shale in crease, line w/ Smolder & Beauty Marked on top.

15. Cranberry w/Beauty Marked in crease.

16. I put Camel (golden brown) in the crease first and then put Parfait Amour heavily on my lids and then blended it up into the crease so there was no harsh line between them, and then I used Beauty Marked to line to give a bit of definition.

17. Satin Taupe on lid, Beauty Marked in crease.

18. Pink Opal Pigment on lid, Fuschia Pigment in crease, Beauty Marked to line.

19. Retrospeck as a wash, Beauty Maked to line & blended up.

20. Sleepy or Pink Freeze as a wash, Beauty Marked blended low in the outer crease, Trax patted on top of crease, starting where Beauty Marked ends, Beauty Marked to line fading into Sleepy on inner corner. Prism Blush, Plum l/l & Popmode l/g.

21. Flammable Paint under Beautiful Iris, Cranberry or Beauty Marked.

22. Crystal/Parfait Amour/Beauty Marked

23. Brill with Beauty Marked and Hepcat or Freshwater \ Parrot \ Guacamole.

24. Pink Freeze/Hepcat/Beauty Marked.

25. Kitschmas all over lid and Beauty Marked e/s in the crease, outer corners, and to line.

26. Yogurt on lid & then blend Melton Mauve into the outer >. Pink Freeze as a brow highlighter and maybe just a smidge between Yogurt and Melton Mauve, just so it blends better and you don't see the obvious transition from one color to another. Beauty Marked wet as a liner.

27. Satin Taupe in outer-> and crease, Metamorph inner corners, Vanilla pigment to highlight, Beauty Marked used wet as liner.

28. The three colors she used were Mylar, Mulch & Beauty Marked. Dont laugh! Im telling you it works. The trick is to blend the black and the bronze so you cant really see either one on its own. She lined my eyes with Smoulder pencil first. She applied Mylar all over from lashline to browbone as kind of a base. Then she took Beauty Marked and applied it to the lid. She started really slowly and kept building and blending until the desired effect was reached (you can definitely vary this if you want and go really light or really dramatic). Next she took Mulch and applied it in the crease kind of heavy. Then she took a big fluffy brush and blended and blended, and blended, and blended until everything was super blurred. She topped it off with another dose of Mylar on the browbone and a light lining again with Smolder.

29. Laven-dah as wash, Parfait Amour on lower lids , Beauty Marked to line & a little on outer corners Pink Freeze on browbone.

30. Seedy Pearl on lids with Stomp in the crease is da bomb. So is a wash of Seedy Pearl on the lids with Beauty Marked wet to line the top and winged out like cat eyes.

31. Sleepy all over, Trax in crease, Beauty Marked low in crease & outer > & to line. Sleepy on the inner corner. Prism Blush & Pop Mode Lipglass. (Synthea).

32. Frostlite Fluidline all over, Star Violet started at lashline & worked up to crease, Mythology buffed into crease, Retrospeck on inner corner, Blitz & Glitz in upper & lower lashes fading into Mythology towards inner corner, Beauty Marked to deepen crease.

33. Base Light Paint all over, Plum Dressing on lid, Noctumelle in crease, Sketch or Beauty Marked to deepen crease, Retrospeck (w/ finger) on browbone, Waveline w/ Nocturnelle smudged on lower lashes.

34. Bare Canvas Paint as a base, Trax on inner lid lid, Agate on outer lid, Beauty Marked in crease & to line & Phloof to hightlight.

35. Flammable Paint on lid & up to crease, Beauty Marked over Paint to crease w/ Flammable showing on the top, Seedy Pearl to highlight.

36. Canton Candy as a base, Sushi Flower on the lids, Beauty Marked in the outer crease, Mythology on the inner lids, Beauty Marked to line.

37. Penny s/s as a base, Pink Bronze Pigment on the inner lid, Copper Sparkle Pigment on the outer lid, Nocturnelle in the crease, Cranberry on the inner crease, Beauty Marked on the upper outer corners, Motif to highlight, Blacktrack to line, Breezy Blush.

38. Graphito Paint on lid, Beauty Marked on top of Graphito, Trax in crease, Pink Opal Pigment to highlight, Blacktrack Fluidline.

39. Expensive Pink w/ Star Violet & Beauty Marked.

40. Sketch & Beauty Marked both go nicely with Gorgeous Gold, Trax, Vex, Expensive Pink & Nocturnelle.

Re: Mac Beauty Marked & Owl - what to pair them with?

I like Beauty Marked paired with Pink Freeze, Trax. Cranberry, and Jest.

Usually I'll use Beauty Marked in the outer "V" or smuged over my liner.

Re: Mac Beauty Marked & Owl - what to pair them with?

Aquilah -

I have a lot of those colors which is great - Pink Freeze was part of that set I bought and I have hardly used that color. Electra is another one mentioned that I don't use at all.

I have so many Mac eyeshadows that don't seen to "go" with anything - argh! I guess I should just play around.

I love Trax and Stilife - I'm going to try playing with those tomorrow.
