Hi,

I was thinking about trying mac foundation. I have never had mac cosmetics before but from what i have read would really like to try them. If you any of you guys have tried there foundations could you tell me what you thought and which one you used? Because a friend told me that they never recommend the foundations unless you need it for like stage makeup or soemthign like that.

If you want medium to full coverage ,I like the studio fix.I have the liquid and powder.hope this helps....

I'm a real MAC addict but I have to say: I didn't like their foundations! Don't get me wrong, they aren't bad, but also they're nothing special. I tried Select SPF 15 and Studio Tech.

I didn't care for the foundation (SFF) during a recent makeover, but it might be the way she applied it too. I'm willing to give it another go once I'm done w/ the Chanel foundation I'm using now.

First of all your friend is sadly mistaken and way disillusioned... MAC Foundations are great! Unfortunately I can't recommend one until I know what your skin is like (combination, normal, dry, oily etc), what type of coverage you like, and what type of foundation medium you prefer (liquid, cream, powder etc)

If you can reply with that info, as much as you can, I can recommend something for you to try!

I've tried the MAc stuidiofix
and the MAC full coverage...

the full coverage in my opinion is VERY VERY HEAVY... it doesnt blend in that well...regardless if your using a sponge or brush.. and its expensive like 27 dollars ? it sets on your face and it feels as though oyu are wearing a heavy mask.. i wouldnt recommend using the full coverage.. its like putting concealor on your face...

the studio fix on the other hand is lighter and very easy to blend.. they suggest using a foundation brush when applying this..its a little *****eaper than full coverage you just have to be careful with this ne.. as a lot of people tend to break out ! hope this helps !

Full Coverage, is basically that.. FULL COVERED. I don't recomed it much unless you have scars, or need it for theater work. But heres a secret the full coverege is the same as are conce. in the pots.. so its the same formula just bigger quainty , may be the reason it doesnt blned as smooth as a liquid foundation.

I myself, and as a male use studio fluid foundation with BLOT loose pouder because I do get oily, and this cuts my oily skin down to 90%. I use the 109 brush to apply the studio fluid foundation. I love the foundation, not too heavy and it blends into my skin very well.

I can help you out further if you tell me what type of coverage yourl oking for and your skin type.

Really? You know I never used to wear foundation at all.. then when we came out with studio fluid I started to wear it just for the heck of it and I loved it. I used to wear studio fix and that was all.. but since I discovered the love of blot loose pounder on my age I wore a foundation under it... but I'm always willing to give it a try. But you gotta love the 109 brush, right?
