Post MAC Paints...opinions please

I have been gone awhile it is great to be back. My hubby ordered me the quite the haul last night from maccosmetics.com last night. He got me
the Magenta Treasures with the brushes and the Olive brush set too. The Temptations Lipglass Collection in Cool, the Temptations Paints. My question is about the Paints. I have never used them before. Can you use them on your cheeks too? Do they dry to a gloss or matte finish? If anyone has any pics of them wearing the eye paints I would love to see it.
Thanks Ladies

PS from Sephora he got me the Too Faced Lip Injection set of 4 and the Philosiphy Winter Survival kit. I am feeling spoiled....whooo hooo

Re: Mac Paints...opinions please

WTG on the haul Joy!! Make sure to post it in the Haulin' A$$ Section when it comes in!!

On the subject of MAC Paint, they dry to a matte/satin finish... Not glossy at all, some have a little shimmer in them, but it is very low key, not comparable to e/s at all. The function of Paints is a little different from e/s, so they don't really get used as e/s, more often just as a base for e/s and to make the colors more intense.

You can't really use the Paints for cheeks, but MAC does have Cheekhue Paints that are able to be placed on the cheeks... I wouldn't use the eye Paints as cheek color...

You can;t use MAC paints on your cheeks. However, you can use CCB's *Cream Color Base" as a high lighter.

Nice hubby!

Ditto to what Leila says! I use mine as bases rather than e/s and never on my cheeks. And hey, how nice is your hubby! Make sure to post pics of it when they all arrive

Thanks ladies, I sure wish I would have known the paints were not really a stand alone E/S I would have chosen something else. I wondered about using it on the cheeeks because they have a really pretty cotton candy color in them.
Thanks for the help though and if I ever figure out how to post pictures I would love too, I took some of my last haul but could not figure it out.

Re: MAC Paints...opinions please

I have Canton Candy and while it might appear a nice shade for cheeks on their site, its totally not! I use it under most pink e/s though and love it.

You can always return the paints your ordered honey and pick something else
