Okay, I just purchased MAC charged water. What is the best way to use it??? Before or after I apply foundation? I wanted something to keep my foundation off of my clothes and the MA suggested this. Will it work or is there something better that I should try? Thanks.

Before moisturizer in prep for foundation, and/or after the foundation to hydrate through foundation, or take away the powder look of powder foundation or sheer powder.

I also spray it on my brush after I use a msf, I found that it helps the msf show color pay off more!

Girl! Not to get off the subject but, YOUR HAIR LOOKS GORGEOUS! I wish I had the patience to sit to get that done. The charged water is good for refreshing the skin and getting your makeup to look settled. I use it EVERYDAY! I use it when I am doing eyebrows with shadow. When you spray it on your face it feels SOOO GOOD! My skin eats it up. I don't use it to seal my makeup though. I use something called Final Seal by Ben Nye to seal my makeup. It makes the makeup stay in place and it doesn't rub off. I use that everyday too. Ben Nye has some excellent products at a reasonable cost. In fact, I just purchased two lipsticks PRETTY, PRETTY, PRETTY.

I love my Ben Nye Final Seal! Minty! Everytime I do someone's makeup I use this and they say their makeup stays flawless the whole time!

It's supposed to have all these nutrients that are supposed to be good for your skin. I use it before I apply moisturizer.

i don't use charged water (too expensive!) but i do use something similar
its about 6 bucks and i bought it at walmart
its from the water brand, Aquafina, and it's called Hydrating Facial Spray
or something close to it
its great to set my mineral makeup and it keeps my face feeling totally refreshed!
best thing about it is the price =]

Honestly, I think FIX+ would have been a better choice for keeping mu on longer. I love it. The MA told me they call it the "spray of makeup" like the hair spray for hair and it serisouly lives up to its nick name!

You know what, I've asked a lot of MAs to ask me what's the purpose of Charged Water and none of them gave me a good reason besides refreshing your face like Fix + but with added nutrients. But none of them even told me what those nutrients are or when should I apply it.

But I've done my own research and have been wanting to buy it for the longest now - maybe my next check I'll purchase it.

I'm sorry but I don't buy the hype about "Charged Water". There isn't any scientific evidence to prove MAC's claims that this product has antioxidant effects on the skin. If you read the ingredient list in this article, you'll realize it's just very expensive water.
