Makeup Look-a-likes
i've read about Mac Look a likes.. but does anyone have any other lists of great inexpensive look a likes?
Here's the mac list I found... Nice list, sucks though- I don't think we have any of those "copy cat" name brands (Miliani, Prestige) in Canada

I'm really glad you posted that. I've noticed a few people say they'd prefer not to purchase high end makeup, and I know I don't...well....I do want to, actually. Because the packaging is always fun...and these days it's all pink...and what girl doesn't want to buy pink things? But I'm digressing. I thought it would be a good idea, too, to make a list of drugstore products that are comparable to department store makeup.
Unfortunately, I can't really think of any information to contribute. But I wanna hear what everyone else has to say! |

Thanks! I've wondered what Amber Lights looks like since I've heard several girls say they like it, but I guess now I know because I already have Milani Sun Goddess and love it!
 And while I don't have any specific color match-ups, I've heard girls say that Mod Cosmetics eyeshadows are very similar quality (texture, pigmentation, etc) as Mac -- I haven't tried Mac but love my new Mod pallettes! You can only buy them from their website (www.modcosmetics.com) and they take a while to ship if you are outside of Canada. Speaking of Canada, greeneyedangel, have you tried shopping for Milani online? I know walgreens.com carries a lot of Milani products but I don't know if they ship to Canada...

I just remembered, I've heard that Milani Peachy Peach is similar to Mac Jest but I haven't seen the colors in person....

Thanks for posting that list!!
However, I disagree with the Pink Freeze = Prestige Ballet - Ballet is a matte shade, and Pink Freeze is a frost. I also disagree that Trax and Prestige Flushed are lookalikes. Trax is a plummy shade w/bronze shimme, and Flushed is a golden pink with gold microglitter.

Does anyone know of a drugstore color similar to Mac's "PARROT". There is an e/s by Covergirl that looks somewhat similar. Damn there is an eyeshadow pallete with parrot on ebay going for $89.99 Buy It Now!! What are these people smoking!?!
