Making a MAC order - wanna help me?

Well, I'm nearly set to push the go button on my little MAC order - Here's what I have in the basket so far -

Paint in Bare Canvas
Fix+
Prep&Prime Skin
219 Pencil Brush

I'm eyeing the 228 mini shader brush and the 231 small shader - which would be more practical? How different are the sizes? I"ve got a nice collection of Japonesque brushes, but don't have anything really small for doing that detail work.

Any really hot colors of blush, lippies or liners I ought to pick up? I can't do the shadows due to allergies, sadly, but the other stuff is just fine. Im about NC15, dark red hair, green eyes, freckles.

Thanks!

you might like to try the lipglass in Damzel, it is a pretty rosey color, it should go well with your skin tone...

Re: Making a MAC order - wanna help me?

Thanks, Gals! I really appreciate the help! I'll look at Peachykeen and at Damsel, and Trisha, thanks for the help on the brush question!

What was it that didn't please you about the Prep & Prime Skin? I have Nars primer, and I like that pretty well - should I just stick with that one? I was looking for something to really smooth the texture of my skin. Nars is great for giving a softer surface and helping to control oil - I use it instead of moisturizer in the am.

I'll try to post a pic here - not sure if I'm doing it right...

An another, from the other day...

Again, thanks for all your help!

Trisha - you are so very kind! Thank you for the nice compliments. Perhaps I'll hold off on the primer, or see if someone wants to swap or something...

Gives me the chance to try a lippie or a blush or something then.

If I get to the UK, would you do my makeup once? You are so talented and your pictures are so inspiring!

Aww Rouge, you are GORGEOUS!! lol, it is amazing how many knockouts we have here on MuT!

I agree with Trisha in that natural hair brushes are better in my opinion than synthetics. All my brushes are natural now, the synthetic ones I used to have never gave the same flawless effect.

Re: Making a MAC order - wanna help me?

Oh, MACGoddess, you are so sweet. I actually feel pretty dorky posting my pictures here, but everyone is so helpful and kind that it feels ok now.

I'm definitely going with the 228 in the natural hair (I think that's the number).

And I'm so jonesing for a new fun lippie - I tend to stick with rose-browns and browned-roses, though. And I'd love something bright and very there! I've got a good red - very clear and neutral. And I'd love something different than that...do you have any faves?

Re: Making a MAC order - wanna help me?

The only MAC product I can really swear by, and it's one of my favorites ever, is the blush in Prism. I'm not sure it didn't make me breakout, but I really love the color. I think MAC just doesn't work for my skin, though, which is too bad because the colors are to die for.

Re: Making a MAC order - wanna help me?

you can try one of the supremely PINK lipglasses... I dunno which shade though... Maybe Wild Girl, or Pink Poodle.

Pink is always a good option when you want extra color... And it is amazing how versatile it can be...

How about some Mineral Skin Finishes? I think Shimpagne would look awesome on you.

Ooh, definitely get Shimpagne! It would look fabulous on you.

Just for another opinion, I actually like MAC's Prep + Prime Skin better than Laura Mercier's. It keeps my foundation on longer -- and I always lose foundation around my nose first!
