Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara- Opinions

I've been using this product for years and I used to love it. Now I'm finding that it doesn't do it for me anymore. Although I love the dramatic effect, I find that it clumps.

I'd like to know if anyone here uses it and what your opinion of this product is. Also, what other dramatic-effect mascaras would you recommend?

LMAO @ "Mac Ho"!

I've heard great things about Stila products. I'll have to give them a try. What drug store brand would you recommend?

Hi I'm currently using the MF 2000 calorie as well and I love it. You can also try Voluminious by L'Oreal. I've used it in the past and it works well- gives nice thick, full lashes!

hehehe

stila does have some great products. trisha one of the other mods is a mua for them if you have any questions about stila. and some of the girls on here are stila fans too

i don't know about drugstore brands. i only have the 2000 calorie one and one called luminous something or other. can't remember the name. but i just tend to grab my stila/mac/shu mascaras instead. spent the $$ on them, gotta use em

I have used the 2000 calorie mascara in the past and it's worked wonders for me. I am currently using Maybelline XXL and that works great also.

Re: Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara- Opinions

I have got 2000 calories & I think its ok...I don't really have anything to recommand coz I'm not really happy with any of the mazcaras that I have tried. They all simply can't hold a curl..but maybe that has to do with me having straight Asain lashes

Re: Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara- Opinions

thanks, you reminded me that IŽm out of my 2000 Calorie...I will definitely get another one.

I have both the 2000 calorie and lŽoreal voluminous and IŽll compare then for you now. just my personal experience:

voluminous: gives slightly more volume but doesnŽt lenghten, clumps on me (but not that bad so I still use it)

2000 calorie: did not clump on me a single time, seperates lashes better than voluminous, slightly (!) lenghtens too

so overall I have to say that I like the 2000 calorie better. HAVE to get a new one now

Re: Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara- Opinions

Hi
I used to use 2000 calorie for a few years, I would never use anything else, but it seemed they changed the formula or something because I felt it was gloppy, and my lashes were weighted down!

I LOVE: Cover Girl thick lash--thickens alot, no clumps, lengthens a lot, does not smear or flake, washes off with soap and water

Revlon Fabulash--amazing dramatic lashes my new best friend

Christian Dior- Diorshow I feel the best mascara ever made bar none!!

Re: Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara- Opinions

I really love this mascara!! I am currently using the lash perfection, but find that it flakes more than the 2000 calorie. I noticed that if I keep the 2000 Calorie for more than a month it isn't as effective as when I buy a new one every 3 weeks. Seems to clump more and dry out a bit.

Re: Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara- Opinions

I have heard some MAs say if ur mascara is relatively new (i.e. 3-4 weeks) and it is getting dry / goes on thick / clumpy (and does not have a weird smell), you might try to add a couple drops of saline to the container and swish the brush around - moistens it apparently. I have never tried this myself.

I just bought this mascara today to replace my CG Super Thick Lash. Hope it works on me (keeping fingers crossed).

Re: Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara- Opinions

I loved this for a long time, but I think they must've changed the formula because I did find it clumpy, and it actually seemed to make my lashes look shorter I much prefer my beloved CG Super Thick Lash!

Re: Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara- Opinions

i have this mascara but didn't find that it did anything great for my lashes. my lashes are really short and i need something that will give them nice length. i use mac zoom lash and it works well for me. it curls and lengthens my lashes nicely.
