Question Mod Cosmetics

Could I get your ladies (and men if any) that have tried mod cosmetics. I went to the website and it looks interesting, thinking of maybe placing an order if the feedback is good.

Thanks
~Jen

Re: Mod Cosmetics

Check out the reviews, but I got the 88 palette and I really like having all those colors without carrying too much...the pigment is really good and it's longlasting...I like their glosses too, nice colors and they stay pretty good...that's all I've tried from them.

Re: Mod Cosmetics

I've got two Mod cosmetics eyeshadows pallettes and one lipgloss:

<img src="http://www.makeuptalk.com/forums/gallery/files/299-mod_cosmetics2.JPG" alt="Mod Cosmetics" />

I LOVE the eyeshadows! I've only used drugstore eyeshadows, and while I do have some good drugstore brands (such as Milani), these are so much better! Very pigmented and a nicer texture -- softer and more finely milled than anything I'm used to. I'm used to piling on the eyeshadow just to make it show up, but I only need a little bit of these eyeshadows! I definitely want to buy more, but they just raised the price of their 5-color pallettes from $10 to $15, so I am debating about what colors I want the most right now and whether I really need to spend any more money on mu I've posted a few FOTD's with them in the past 2 weeks -- my blending techniques are less than perfect but you can at least see the colors I've also reviewed all my Mod products.

The lipgloss is also above average when compared to my other drugstore lipglosses ... it's nicely colored (not too sheer), only slightly sticky but not bad, and long lasting too. Sizzle is the only peach gloss I've found that I like -- peach isn't a very popular color in the drugstores for some reason so there hasn't been much for me to choose from!

The only drawback is that it takes them about a month to ship...

Re: Mod Cosmetics

I have quite a few MOD products because they came in my kit when I went to school. Alot of the girls in my class were so disappointed that they didn't get all MAC stuff because of the recognizable label.(how materialistic, I know) but the MOD stuff we got was pretty good. There are no labels at all. The schools and pros go there to get a good price because it's pretty cheap.
I have about twelve brushes which are all still in excellent shape and the quality is pretty darn good, if you're considering brushes.

I have two blush palettes and to be honest, they are just o.k. I find them to be a bit too powdery. When you put them on, they sit on top of your skin instead of looking natural.

I don't have any shadows however. But everyone here says great things about them, so they must be decent.

I also have several lipsticks, liners and a couple glosses which are pretty decent too. I did have a mascara that I liked alot but I used it up long ago. Hope this helps a little.

Re: Mod Cosmetics

I've ordered from them, and I think the stuff is fabulous. I think the products they sell are from the same company that manufactures MAC. The packaging is the same as MAC, but without the MAC name. If you live outside of Canada the shipping takes forever, so if you are thinking about ordering do it now, and then if you change you mind you can always swap the stuff away to me!

Re: Mod Cosmetics

Thanks everyone for your help. I was really interested in brushes, and eyeshadows, maybe gloss. So I did get my questions answered. I think in a few weeks I may order because I will have the money then.

Thanks again.

Re: Mod Cosmetics

Does anyone know if MAC shadows fit in the empty MOD palettes?

EDIT: Nevermind, the site says they do!
