This is not a review, since I just got my brush and I have yet to use it. This picture is after it has been washed and dried overnight. I am comparing these, since this brush was listed as a dupe(which I really doubt it will turn out to be). My initial thoughts:

• The handle on the Ultra brush is longer and thicker towards the middle, making the handle for the 187 more comfortable in the hand
• The white bristles are longer on the 187, and move differently when pressed on the hand.
• Despite the Ulta brush looking like it is fuller, it's actually less dense and fluffier than the 187. Which leads me to believe the 187 will buff better(just a guess before using).
• The black hairs appear to be longer on the Ulta brush than the 187. This may be why the white bristles don't move the same as the 187, as the longer black hairs on the Ulta brush don't allow the white hairs as much room for movement.
• Call me crazy, but I think the MAC might be just a touch lighter in weight
• The 187 is for sure softer than the Ulta brush

It may be bc of usage to but the 187 white hair actually seems a bit more centered and straighter than the Ulta one too. Maybe that's why it feels denser?

So far so good. I used it yesterday, and you can feel and see a difference with the 187. defintiely happy with my purchase so far. I might demote the Ulta brush to cream blushes and bronzer.
