Question regarding MAC Shadesticks
On the MAC website it describes them as a creamy eyeshadow. Normally cream e/s that I tried in the past, creases very fast on me. I use MAC Bare Canvas Paint as a e/s base but heard that many people like the shadesticks as e/s base or for color. Are these worth buying? Thanks!

honestly i dont know anyone who wears them on their own. I think they are great fo rmaking a certain color pop depending on the shadestick color.

Beige-ing is popular... So is Fresh Cement... I don't own any yet, but it's on my list!

Re: Question regarding MAC Shadesticks
I use Beigeing only as a base for MAC pigments. They dont glide on easily or smoothly so I wouldnt use them as an eyeshadow. They can also be used to brighten a dull color so it shows up more

Re: Question regarding MAC Shadesticks
I use them as a base but I still use UDPP as a primer. Works pretty well for me!

Same here. I have a couple and I'm pretty happy with them.

Shimmersand is so pretty!
I use the shadesticks on their own if I'm really dry around my eyes and don't want to use powdered shadows (I have dry skin). I just draw a few thick lines with the shadesticks and then smear with my fingers. Stays put quite well.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks they're difficult to apply. I personally think CQ duettos from Wal-Mart work much better. I have a Shadestick in Beige-ing and I hardly ever use it.

Re: Question regarding MAC Shadesticks
I also have a hard time applying them, especially as a base. I bought the holiday set, and the colors are pretty, but I honestly never reach for the shadesticks when I'm doing my makeup.

Re: Question regarding MAC Shadesticks
I bought the holiday set and I like them as a base. But I still use UDPP also, otherwise they'd crease on me.

Re: Question regarding MAC Shadesticks
Thank you everyone! They do sound interesting but for now I will pass. My top priority is buying some UDPP that everyone raves about, then maybe I will try some shadesticks.

Re: Question regarding MAC Shadesticks
I haven't tried the Shadesticks, but my favorite eyeshadow base is MAC Bare Canvas paint underneath UDPP. That combo makes my eyeshadow pop and wear like iron.
