Revlon like MAC

I bought the revlon colorstay pressed powder the other day and when I opened it, it looked familiar. So here are revlon and MAC side by side. They are similar but it is definately easy to tell which is MAC, can you?

The MAC has a rim where it comes up. But what made me think of MAC was how the hinge was, when it's open the top sits behind the bottom. But I don't know, maybe I'm thinking too much of it and most compacts probably look the same inside. However, the quality of the product inside are definately different. Mac doesn't not leave color but the revlon leaves color after a few touchups.

Re: Revlon like MAC

They do look similar, but even without the logos I could tell the difference when open. MAC seems to use the same style front latch on their products. I find their latches a little annoying, so maybe that's why I notice them.

What do you mean by leaves color?

Re: Revlon like MAC

The revlon powder is not translucent like MAC. After 2-3 touch ups, my face starts looking unatural and if seems to being getting darker from the powder. (But I usually do 1-2 touch ups anyways)

Re: Revlon like MAC

I noticed some Rimmel eye shadows at Wal-Mart today that reminded me of MAC eye shadows. If I remember I'll pick one up tomorrow and do a comparison.

I love the look of Clinique quads, if a drugstore brand would immitate the look I would be buying them in a heartbeat.

This is probably because Revlon's is a pressed powder foundation while the MAC powder you have is mainly for blotting. Maybe it'll be more comparable to MAC's Studio Fix.

Oops sorry, forgot to mention, it's MAC blot powder in dark and Revlon colorstay pressed powder in medium/dark. But like Ashley said, I think Revlon is a pressed foundation with minimal coverage.

Re: Revlon like MAC

Oh, the Revlon one is minimal coverage? Then it's not comparable to Studio Fix either!

lol yeah, I'm really not sure whether it's a regular powder or a foundation becuase it claims to give shine free flawless face, but I don't get the coverage but then again I do have lots to cover so for someone with good skin, this would probably be good.

Re: Revlon like MAC

There are tons of companies that try to copy the mac packaging. Its not a bad thing though. Although i have yet to see a brand that tries to copy them as bad as L'oreal.
