Ok... it's very hot in California right now!!! What are they best ways to keep your makeup from running and keep your look matte. I don't like having to use powder round the clock to touch up. Any app. tricks or products I should be aware of?

I know right! I rarely use foundation, so I just powder when it gets shiny. But if I want to line my eyes use mascara it's a wrap! I look ridiculous

The eyeliner and mascara does throughout the day. I always end up wiping with Kleenex and touching up.

Try fluidlines for liner and maybe a waterproof mascara

Use a makeup primer. Trust me I moved from Alaska to Cali and the warm weather is reeking havoc with my oily skin/ makeup. You can use mac prep and prime face $22, or smash box photo finish which is about $ 30-40 bucks. The cheapest option is to run down to wall mart and buy some monistat chafing powder gel about 7 bucks. This goes on under ur makeup but over your moisturizer. a little bit all over especially ur oily spots. it sounds weird but it contains the same ingredients as these more expensive products. I use it everyday and my makeup goes NOWHERE. look it up on youtube. good luck! also cvs makes a cheaper version about 3 bucks.

What kind of eyeliner are you using right now? If I must use pencil, I usually use Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide On Pencils or Makeup Forever's Aqua Eyes. I prefer liquid, and the best one I have found is a from a Japanese makeup brand. It's called 24 hour Tattoo Real Lasting Eyeliner...and it really lasts! I think Shiseido, and NYX also make a similar product, but I'm not sure how well the staying power is.

Ashley, I am using pencils by Prestige currently. I was actually told to set the liner with powder and it won't run....true? I haven't tried it yet. and I just bought blotting tissues today... they take the oil up well & don't smudge the makeup so thank you jmgjmg623

You can try setting with liner with a similar colored eyeshadow.

Move?? Lol. But then again its too damn hot up north too!! I have the same problem... Especially since I use manly water solvent makeups... I hate hot weather....

i sweat year round. the only thing that has really worked is to get the look i want using less makeup. for example i skip mascara on my bottom lashes. sometimes tweeking your skincare routine can help you get that glow and just use a bit of makeup to enhance. also there's always model in a bottle. i'm not sure if it's sweat proof, but i does promise to hold your makeup in place all day.

I would recommend using less makeup. As for the eyeliner, i would suggest L'oreals Cream liners. I have yet to have them budge for anything. Some would also recommend MAC fluidlines.
