Search function broken? Question about MAC

So, whenever I search for MAC it says no results found. There are a ton of threads on MAC, so there should have been quite a few results found.

Okay, so I can't remember: is NC cool toned, and NW warm toned?

Thanks!

Re: Search function broken? Question about MAC

I *think* it's opposite. NC is warmed toned, and NW is for cool toned. It never made sense to me but someone explained it good over at specktra.

Maybe one of the girls will let you know for sure, because I'm not positive.

Edit: I checked over there and I'm right. They said to think of NC as not cool... and NW as not warm. So if your cool you'll be looking at the NW's.

Oh, and I think the search function can't search 3 letter words, so MAC doesn't show up.... again, I'm not sure though.

Re: Search function broken? Question about MAC

The search function doesn't work for 3 letters words.

Besides, i think this question will always be asked because it's confusing everyone !

NW= not warm=cool and NC=not cool=warm

At least that's my translation...

Re: Search function broken? Question about MAC

Like Bella said, you need at least 4 letters. If you are looking for differences between NW and NC, you probably don't want to search for "MAC" only because that's too general.

Like mago said, think of it has Not Warm and Not Cool, though that's not what it stands for. So if you have yellow tones, you're a NC. Pink tones are NW.

Thanks everyone! It's very confusing, but I got it now.

P.S. Regarding the search--I did several variations for my search: MAC color, NW or NC colors, MAC tones, MAC shades, MAC color guide... etc. MAC never came up, but the second word to the search did. So, color is too general. Colors is too general. Tones is too general. Color guide is too general. I decided to just try plain MAC (even though that was too general as well) to see if it brought anything up, and it didn't.

Anyways, I bought some concealer online and it is on its way! Hooray.
