Should I change foundations?

I normally get foundation for Dry skin, but now that i've been using moisturizer regularly I don't have dryness anymore. Should I switch to a normal foundation? I have trouble getting it to stay on my nose which is where I was dry. Now i'm wondering if I haven't caused myself to be oily there. Is that possible? Should I go with a different foundation? TIA!!!

Re: Should I change foundations?

It really depends on what type of coverage you want. there are liquid foundations for every type of skin condition. powder foundation will have a more matte appearance and probably better for oily skin. (with more coverage). A tinted moisturizer might be a good option if you are not that dry, and only need a little coverage. (you might even be able to get away with no additional moisturizer in the am) Good luck

Re: Should I change foundations?

I am thinking I am now the same way. Maybe my face wasn't as dry as I thought, but just not cared for.

I think that may be what happened to me. I didn't never use a moisturizer or anything before. Now I have all kinds of face products.

Re: Should I change foundations?

Same here! LOL Before I would wash my makeup off in the shower in the morning, now I was it off at night and then wash it again when I get up. I am loving my face now.

If you are looking for a department store foundation, try to get a sample first to see if you like it. At the very least, try the foundation. I have never bought a drugstore foundation because I cannot try the foundation first.

I don't really go by skin type designations for foundations. I have a tendency to think that transfer resistant foundations are better for oilier skin since they stay on better. I also check out the coverage and blendability. An exact color is somewhat less important for sheer coverage foudations because it would harder to see that a foundation is slightly off color.
