A strange thing I found that works...
i was applying concealer under my eyes the other day, and i didnt think it covered well enough, so i brushed some skin coloured eyeshadow over it and the difference was amazing! it really made that blueish tint go away and gave me a healthy, awake appearance. i guess it would work with powder too, but for those that dont have it, eyeshadow does the job. i used MAC brule for mine. just wanted to share! let me know if you try it!

Re: a strange thing i found that works
I have done that too, but I think the trick is that you combined the perfect color for your dark circles. Just yesterday I combined my old Shiseido cover up cream with my new Mac cover up and I was surprised to see that the combination of colors was perfect and for the first time my dark circles were gone. I did add a touch of translucent powder as a finishing touch. It's fun experimenting, especially if I am using something I already have.
I am happy for you and me. :-D |

Re: a strange thing i found that works
Good suggestion - my loose powder really isn't very pigmented, so this could work well for me. Thanks :-)

Congrats on your great find. This is why I love makeup so much. It's the wonderful things you discover along the way.A book of interest is Eve Pearl's "Plastic Surgery Without the Surgery: The Miracle of Makeup Techniques". Eve is the makeup artist for the ladies of The View, Kelly Ripa and a host of others. She has won 3 Emmys for this.

Re: A strange thing I found that works...
My eyeshadow is liquid , like concealer. I have a color called candlelight that is like skin color. It doubles as a eyeshadow and concealer.
