I picked up a Loreal Le Kohl eyeliner at the drugstore as I was picking up some other things, since I liked the color (smoke) . I had a similar color dior eyeliner, which disapointed me, so I still needed the color. It's a cool grey and very nice for making a casual smoky eye.

The eyeliner is probably the best ive used - amazing staying power, but smokes out very evenly with a pointed fluffy brush.

I went back to get another color. I got Violette but this time it was Le GRAND Kohl Eyeliner. It's a jumbo size so I thought there would be no difference.

But there was! The violette was a great color but it came in patchy and uneven, it was hard to draw a straight line without chunks coming out. Blending it was a horror cuz it all stayed on the brush.

I guess the moral of the story is that just because a product is good in one color, doesnt mean it will be good in another color. Or maybe I just got lucky. :/ I will try another color in the non-jumbo size. I assumed the formula for the product would be the same, but maybe not.

The Le Kohl Eyeliner in smoke is one of the best eyeliners I've used. and I'm really picky! I ussually give up on eyeilners and use black pigment and apply it wet.

I always had a hard time finding a good liner, especially kohl ones, but Im using a make-up base for my eye-make-up and since I do this it doesnt matter if its an expensive or cheap brand, they all stay on the same amount of time, it does matter what brand I choose for the color of course, but maybe if you try using an eye make-up base youll see the difference

I might try out the smoke color tho...Im looking for a not so black color as an eyeliner

I do use a base. It's just that the product is smudgey by itself. (Dior) It stays in place but it's hard to smoke out, because instead of blending out, it streaks. This is the dior pencil that comes with a smoking brush on the other end. I've also used other brushes to smudge it, and it doesnt smoke out, just moves too much. It's not that it wears off, it just doesnt apply like I'd like it too.

Thanks for sharing! I figured it should be good since Lancome and l'oreal is basically the same thing. I love the lancome kohl liner but when i run out, i'll just stick to the l'oreal one.
