Two E/S, One Brush

What do you do when you need to apply two different colors of e/s and you need to use the same brush? Do you just blot the brush on a towel or something? This may seem like a dumb question, but sometimes this happens to me. Also, do you rinse your brushes after every application to ensure use for the next day? I hope I'm making sense and not sounding like a total idiot.

Re: Two E/S, One Brush

If I use two colors with one brush I will just fluff the brush some and get the excess first color off the brush... It usually isn't a problem with two colors that are similar, but if you are using like a black and a white color, then I would use two different brushes so that the intensity and color won't get contaminated.

Does that make any sense?

I usually use my 242, so after I use one side I brush it again a paper towel and then use the other.

Re: Two E/S, One Brush

I apply the lighter color first on one side of the brush, then wipe the brush on my hand, then on bathroom tissue into no more color comes out, then I use the other side to apply the darker color.

Re: Two E/S, One Brush

I usually just blot it on a piece of tissue and that seems to work for me. Actually i do more than blot, i swipe it back & forth, left & right a few times too to make sure almost all the e/s is off..

Regards cleaning them, i only wash my e/s brushes once a week & i wash my face brushes about 3 times a week.

Re: Two E/S, One Brush

I swipe mine back and forth on the back of my hand to get the first color out, and it works fine. There is no way I could wash mine everyday, I am way too lazy for that!

LMAO at Liz, wiping it on your pj's

I also just swipe mine across my hand or a finger, I've never had a problem even when using very different colors....
