Hey ladies,

I am doing my first wedding this weekend and I am doing the entire bridal party and bride. I havent done this since school so I have just one question that is probably the more important.

Do we keep the makeup matte or is a little shine and sparkle ok? For photo reasons of course.

And as always other suggestions are most welcome and greatly appreciated!!!

I personally wouldn't use too much of an illuminating foundation, but then add highlighter on brow/cheekbones, so I can control where the illumination shows. Nars The Multiple (the lighter shades) are fabulous highlighters.

Some illuminating foundations photograph okay, others don't, so if it's your first real 'go' at bridal, perhaps thinking about playing it safe with what I've mentioned above.

The ingredient that makes certain makeup unsuitable for photography is Titanium Dioxide, so try to steer clear from that.

keep it matte, but definitely play it up a little with gentle highlighters, nothing too overpowering.

It will depend greatly on the time of the photos, as well. I did a wedding this weekend with outdoor photos at 5 p.m. This is a photographer's dream, and you can do a little bit of sparkle and shimmer. Evening weddings you can do even more. Morning weddings I keep matte; 3 p.m. or so I do a sweep a highlighter above the cheekbone.
