i have seen alot of you using shadesticks and foundation on your eyes...

what items would you say you HAVE to have when starting out...

i would say the very basic necessities for eye mu would include eyeliner and mascara. there are many various kinds available in the market to suit different needs. what may work for someone may not work as well for another. so its hard to recommend since im not sure of your skin type (dry/combo/oily) as these factors play a part in determining which type/brand of eyeliners and mascaras you want. i would recommend for you to start with pencil eyeliners instead of liquid and gel e/l to get the hang of it. maybe if you could provide some info about your mu experiences or your skin type we could help you more!!

For eyeshadow, MAC is a wonderful brand with many colors and finishes...Milani and Prestige are also fantastic, much less expensive, and makes good eyeliners as well

Mascara for sure! I think a nice neutral eyeshadow color that makes your eyes pop is also needed. Try Kitten by Stila, maybe. I have that and it makes my eyes stand out and I heard that it works with every eye color.
