What eyeshadow brushes are the must-haves?

I find that there are many different e/s brushes: the dome-shaped and pointy-shaped of different sizes. Among them which ones are the most basic that one shold owned?

Re: What e/s brushes are the must-haves?

Hi It'sme, out of all the brush's that i own i would say that i really love my crease brush as i can use it to shape the eyes in a few ways and also use it to apply eyeshadow.Another good brush to have i feel is a good blusher brush (as this can be used to mutli task).

If you check at the top of the Makeup forum, there is a stickie on HG (holy grail) brushes.

Re: What e/s brushes are the must-haves?

i would say the most needed is a brush for applying basic coloring..like mac #239 or stila #5. then you would need a crease brush for applying color to the crease, and a blending brush. i think those are the 3 basic must-haves.

Re: What e/s brushes are the must-haves?

not all of my brushes are mac, but i tried to pick the mac brushes that match my must-haves so that you have a reference.

small angle brush #263 - use to help define brow area
shader #249 - use to apply shadow to lid area
blending #217 - use to apply shadow from lower lid to brow bone and helping to make sure colors mix and flow
eye liner #209 - use to apply liquid liner to lid area
crease brush #213 - use to apply shadow to crease area and blend

jmho!

MAC's 217 is a godsend.
I also use 209 to apply fluidline.
