Re: What primer for Asian Oily skin ??? In summer time

Hmm I believe that the Smashbox primer most people use is the Original Colourless one. Here's the link to it at Sephora, it's the first one:

Sephora: Smashbox: Photo Finish Foundation Primer at Sephora.com: Primer

The coloured ones are to resolve specific skin concners:

Green - Minimize redness
Apricot - To conceal under eye circles, veins, sunspots
Lavendar - To blanace natural yellow skintones

I myself have only ever tested out the Apricot one, and I wasn't overly impressed.

I don't have oily skin, but I like Smashbox's original primer.

If you have oily skin, you can try Smashbox Photofinish Primer Light.

It means once it sets on your face, you won't be able to see the color anymore.

Re: What primer for Asian Oily skin ??? In summer time

im asian with super oily skin also, and i use smashbox original photo finish, but i am looking for a better one, since the photofinish is NOT oil free. im getting an order shipped of the camellia rose skin smoothing primer, and i am also going to try prime time by BE and the monistate anti chafing powder-gel. if anything, get the photofinish light if you wanna try the photofinish, because it kind of gets the skin oily after a while

Re: What primer for Asian Oily skin ??? In summer time

Milk of Magnesia is the way to go. Before applying my laura mercier oil free primer, I put a thin layer of milk of magnesia on my oily t-zone. Let it dry and then my primer on. Not a spot of oil throughout the whole day.

You don't wash it off? But doesn't it dry white?

Re: What primer for Asian Oily skin ??? In summer time

i ve just read some reviews about Milk of Magnesia on makeupalley.com .

lots of ppl like this mattifier (is it?)

however, some ppl complained that MoM make their oily skin become very dry after long time using. even drier than in winter.
nlee22, does it happen to u?
