Kevyn Aucoin's Sensual Skin Enhancer, because it was the wrong shade. I was matched for the right shade finally, but haven't picked it up yet.

last time was january 2009 i bought a NARS blush and when i opened it and it was broken into pieces(the blush) i took it back and they switched it out for a new unbroken one before that probably a year and halg ago lol i hate returning so i usually give out stuff i end up not using to close friends

I returned a maybelline foundation bc the color didn't match yesterday. I had bought two knowing one woudn't match.

It was a long time ago...I don't usually return/exchange things.

The last time was probably a couple years ago when I wanted MAC "Jest" eyeshadow, and they gave me "Juxt" instead (easy misunderstanding, and I really should have checked the bags before I left). Anyway, I went back and exchanged it a few days later.

I so wish we were allowed to return things here in the UK - but consumer legislation says you can't return opened cosmetics. I have a MAC foundation & concealer thats a little too dark for me that I'd like to exchange.

i know its sooo unfair we can't return stuff!! this is why i have such trouble getting foundation in the right shade.. and why i have so many hardly used foundations! it always looks fine in the shop

Same here as the UK girls. You can return it if it's faulty/broken but if it's been open or used, nope.

returning/exchanging has become a deadly sin lol i learned awhile back that "the return/exchange attitude" could get me in jail lmao so i decided to not return/exchange after 4-5 times. i don't return/exchange anymore unless the product is damaged(only happened once) or if i wasted over $200 on a useless product that came with many empty promises(also happened only once)

agreed, I'm a bit uncomfortable returning things... unless like you guys have said, it's broken, or defective or something...

it'd be good to be able to return foundation, it's quite hard to get a correct match sometimes.

The last thing I returned was Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara. On the Sephora website it said it had no parabens in it (I'm trying to switch to natural makeup) but when I bought it I saw it had parabens in it! What's up with that? So yeah, I returned it, haha.

typical sephora -__- but that tarte mascara was horrible! i got it for my mom a long time ago and she tossed it after first try.

Roods, omg I spend DAYS looking, testing on my skin, coming back, leaving, going to different stores with different lighting, comparing in natural daylight... LOL, I'm terrible. Foundation shopping is only slightly worse than jeans shopping - almost impossible to find the perfect product IMO!

oh hun ITA!! jeans and foundation are impossible to shop for, it should be like a one month process, LOL!
