When doing more than one coat of mascara...
do you let the first coat dry first then add another coat? or do you coat them and re-coat when still wet/damp?
I tend to let mine dry first, comb through with eyelash comb, then add another coat. But no matter what mascara i use, my lashes look a clumpy mess
Is there any particular way of doing multiple coats? Which ways have worked best for you + what mascaras?
TIA

Re: When doing more than one coat of mascara...
I comb it while wet because the mascaras I use won't allow for much combing after it dries.
by the way, did you end up getting the lip injection kit?

Re: When doing more than one coat of mascara...
I never know how to comb them, I always comb when dry but i get a huge amount of flaking, as if it's took the whole first coat off completely lol.
I'm getting the lip injection kit for my birthday, which I can't wait to try out, I love the lip injection gloss so am looking forward to how the other products compare

Re: When doing more than one coat of mascara...
I usually do it while it's still wet, to avoid the clumping problem. I find that it doesn't sweep on as well when it's dry, almost like it has to be dragged through your lashes.

Re: When doing more than one coat of mascara...
I usually do my upper then lower lashes.....by the time i'm done with the lower lashes, I go right back to the upper ones for a second coat. So I guess you could say they're still semi-wet.

Re: When doing more than one coat of mascara...
I just continue to apply coat after coat while it's wet. It seems, at least with my mascara, that it flakes and clumps really badly if I wait between each coat to reapply.

Re: When doing more than one coat of mascara...
applying 2nd or more coats seem to be much smoother when I do it wet. Otherwise I end up with a flaky creepy mess!

Re: When doing more than one coat of mascara...
wet. I can't imagine the horrifying spidery mess I'd get if I waited between coats because I put about 4 layers on, LOL.
I think SOME high end mascara give better results if you wait until they dry, but as a general rule IMHO, most mascaras clump hard core when you wait for them to dry before reapplying

Hey there, I use Benefit's Bad Gal and found that unlike other mascaras, I can wait till dry and then easily apply another coat on top without any clumpiness. It's gotta be the best mascara I've tried, the only down side to that is the price. It's almost $30 here in Canada, pretty steep for a mascara . When I purchased it, I had no idea how much it was and by the time it all registered in my brain, I had already handed the money over. LOL, if I had known in advance how much it was, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have bought it since I had no idea how much I would love it. I'm pretty bummed about that cuz I haven't been able to find another one that I like as much, so I guess I'm out of luck.

Re: When doing more than one coat of mascara...
i tried applying mascara on a dry coat, and it was like "never again !". so usually i'll do a few coats while it's wet, do my lower lashes (i do the upper first), and then go back on the upper lashes and add an extra coat on the outer lashes. i also don't wait until the primer is completely dry, i apply my mascara when it's still a bit wet.
