Like everyone already said, this makes no sense at all. I think the landlord would've realized that someone was not paying their rent. I know that police have come a long way in technology advances to help their field but wouldn't checking someone's house after they've gone missing be like one of the very first steps in any missing case?

Wow, this story is totally bizarre...and sad. Whoever was in charge of finding missing people obviously was not doing their job right. It's not like she locked herself in a closet or something

I wonder how she died. Its bizarre how no one could smell the rotting corpse and all. Its sad that they didnt bother to check her house to see if she was there.

doesn't make sense to me. sounds weird. how could someone be reported missing and not have her place checked out? that is sad, i wonder if she had any family, surely they would had went there.
