Crochet and Knitting!
Does someone here does any of those? Or any other needlecraft? I know Becky (Sirvinya) does some , but i can't say exactly what (sorry! LOL)
I like to crochet things - it's really a therapy - i like to do edgings, but i hate to have to make that thing around the border of the fabric i'm gonna put later the fabric (don't know how i call it!)
Later i'll take some pics !

Re: Crochet and Knitting!
I love to crochet and knit! It really is so theraputic. I've already made some scarves and some blankets. I have this awesome book that I got at Michaels called the book of needlecrafts. It is so awesome and has so many ideas.

Re: Crochet and Knitting!
as much as i love seeing the final result, i am unable to do anything. in scrapbooking i would cut my 10 fingers, in knitting, well i did try it when my mom had enough patience and motivation to teach me. hum. we both came to the conclusion it was better to stop the experience lol.

I re-learned crocheting a few weeks ago, when i decided i would do the fringes of my bellydance scarf. So i found on youtube videos of a brazilian lady teaching crochet. You can find them by looking for elaine croche or just croche (without the t at the end) They're really good, even if you can't understand what she's saying because it's pretty self-explaining (the movements)
I like to do edgings. I found some vintage ones that are so cute, with flowers!

Re: Crochet and Knitting!
I like to knit more than crochet but I have enjoyed both before. I have made scarves and bags before
at the moment I am less than halfway through a bag which I had intended to felt when it was done, but I havent had time to work on it.

It's portuguese - my native language (it's very similar to Spanish). She has a blog on the internet where you can find the links to all of her videos - i can PM you the website.
Her name is Elaine and she's a great teacher - to me that learn better listening than watching is a blessing
Next month i'll try knitting.
What are your next projects? I'm planning as well to do a small table set to give as one of the Christmas gifts (i'm gonna give him a watch as well) my boyfriend Bruno (with doilies, and those things to put under the glass, as well as some cute napkins)

Re: Crochet and Knitting!
It's winter time, so that means I got to finish my crochet project of a baby afghan in darker colors. I still have another project, which is another baby afghan in bright colors. Whatever I got left over of yarns just enough to make crocheted mitts and toques.
PS,......where am I supposed to find websites that actually sell hemp yarns (not those type which you make jewellry out of)?

Re: Crochet and Knitting!
I love knitting, even though at this point all I can do is scarves. I want to learn how to make mittens and toques. I am also planning on working on a cell phone bag, which should be doable with my current skills, and I am quite proud of the wallet I made
